| Rotary shaft lip oil seal is an important basic component in mechanical equipment.In order to improve the sealing performance of oil seal,many scholars have studied the sealing mechanism,structure and material improvement of oil seal.In recent years,the development of surface texture technology as a method to improve the tribology of mechanical parts,more and more scholars begin to pay attention to the influence of seal coupling surface morphology on the sealing performance of oil seals.Therefore,the research on the sealing performance of oil seals with surface texture can provide theoretical basis for promoting the application of surface texture technology in the field of sealing,and has important significance for improving the performance of oil seals.This paper designed three kinds of micro dimple textures(circular,square and equilateral triangle)on the surface of the lip.Coupled with the two-dimensional average Reynolds equation considering the surface rough peak contact and the oil seal temperature energy conservation equation,established the mixed lubrication numerical model of the oil seal area,combined with the calculation formula of the pumping rate and the friction torque,analyzed the influences of shaft speed,lip roughness and texture shape on lip sealing pressure,oil film thickness,pumping rate,friction torque and lip temperature.The results show that with the increase of the roughness,the oil film thickness and the pumping rate increase,but the lip sealing pressure and the friction torque decrease.With the increase of the shaft speed,the pumping rate,the friction torque and the maximum temperature of lip increase,the lip sealing pressure and the oil film thickness decrease.The effect on the oil film thickness,the pumping rate and the temperature of oil is more obvious.The oil seal with square texture’s oil film thickness is the largest,and the effect of equilateral triangle texture on the pumping rate is the most significant.Studied the change of the lip sealing pressure,oil film thickness,pumping rate and friction torque of the oil seal when the temperature changes from 300K to 325K.The results show that the sealing pressure decrease with the increase of temperature.According to the research result that the regular triangle texture has the most obvious effect on the pumping rate,designed eight groups of triangle texture models with different rotation angles,and studied the influence of rotation direction on the sealing performance of oil seal.The results show that when the rotation direction of the triangle texture is 315°,the oil seal has the best sealing performance. |
