Under the inherent requirements of comprehensively building a socialist modernized country,China’s society, economy, and high-speed development have also led to the acceleration of urbanization and aging, resulting in a contradiction between urban environment and human health. This is the urgent need for natural health and the incomplete development of the forest health industry.Forest parks, with their unique natural and ecological resource foundation, can provide people with high-quality ecological services, and have multiple functions such as ecological sightseeing, tourism and leisure, and science education.Conducting research on landscape optimization design of health oriented forest parks can fully leverage the advantages of existing forest resources, improve forest health functions, and alleviate the pressure of urbanization on the ecological environment and public services. At present, the application of forest health and wellness concepts is mostly focused on health tourism or the health and wellness industry. There is relatively little research on optimizing the health and wellness landscape based on forest parks, especially for many early constructed forest parks, which urgently require industrial upgrading. Therefore, studying the landscape optimization design of health forest parks and verifying the optimization effect based on ecosystem service functions has important theoretical and practical significance. This study takes the Guihua Provincial Forest Park in Zhijin County,Guizhou Province as the research object.Starting from the concept of forest health preservation, combined with in-depth research on domestic and foreign literature, relevant theories, and excellent cases,a landscape optimization strategy for health preservation type forest parks is proposed. The water conservation, soil conservation, and carbon storage modules in the In VEST model are used to analyze the response of forest park ecosystem service functions before and after landscape optimization,Verify the effectiveness of forest park landscape optimization design. The main research results are as follows:(1)Before optimization, the total amount of water conservation, soil conservation, and carbon sequestration in the ecosystem service function of the Osmanthus Forest Park were 93.79,respectively×10~4m~3,236.27×10~4t,27.62×10~4tons,from the perspective of spatial distribution, the ecological service function of the Maolipo area is the worst.(2)Based on the current status of ecosystem service functions and on-site investigation results, and guided by the concept of forest health,a landscape optimization strategy for health oriented forest parks is proposed:to respect the current status of forest park resources and design according to local conditions; To permeate the people-oriented ideology and consider humanistic care;We should fully utilize forest natural resources and pay attention to the use of healthy plants.Based on this,a distribution pattern of"three centers, three rings, five zones, and multiple points"is designed to optimize forest park roads and forest health trails, restore vegetation landscapes in the form of"points, lines, and surfaces",and create a forest health service cluster.(3)After landscape optimization, the overall ecosystem service function of the Osmanthus Forest Park shows a positive development trend, with a total increase of 24264.39 m~3in water conservation,a slight decrease of584.37 tons in soil conservation, and an increase of 7885.47 tons in total carbon sequestration. It can be seen that the landscape optimization strategy of health oriented forest parks can bring certain ecological benefits to the positive development of osmanthus forest parks. It is hoped that this study can provide valuable reference for the landscape planning, design, construction and sustainable use of forest resources of health forest parks in China.
