In the process of urban development mode gradually shifting from external expansion to internal renewal,"stock land" replaces "incremental land" as the main source of urban green space growth. The increasingly scarce recreation resources and limited green space bring great opportunities for the development of small and micro street gardens. However, with the increasing importance of street-parks,there are still widespread problems that the design of the parking space cannot meet the diversified recreational needs of citizens, which reduces the service efficiency of street parks. In this context, this paper sorts out the related concepts of flexibility and street parks, takes 61 street parks in the main urban area of Nanjing as research samples, collects data on the regular use of samples through multiple field investigations, and selects appropriate evaluation indicators for the impact of street parks on street parks.Quantitative research is carried out on the degree of flexible use,and the law of flexible use is summarized,to explore the response mode and inclusive mechanism of street parks in the face of diverse recreational needs in a high-density environment. In addition,an evaluation index system for the environmental impact factors of street-parks is constructed to reveal the correlation between the index system and the degree of flexible use,to provide targeted guidance and reference for effectively stimulating the service potential of street gardens in planning and design.Specifically, the structure of the full text is as follows:The first chapter, based on the research background, the definition of the relevant norms of street parks, and the related research at home and abroad, the relevant theoretical basis has been paved, and the basic concept of "elasticity" in this research has been clarified,as well as the research scope on this basis, content and technical methods are summarized. The second chapter mainly expounds on the field investigation process of high-density urban street parks taking the main urban area of Nanjing as an example, including the research method, process and results.Site conditions, internal facilities, surrounding facilities and social-economic conditions,as well as boundary environmental information are four types of environmental impact factors. The third chapter, taking 61 street-parks in the main urban area of Nanjing as an example, appropriate indicators to quantify and evaluate the flexible use of street parks have been selected according to the survey data results.Furthermore, the K-means clustering method would be used on weekdays and weekends, which are clustered into high, medium and low flexible modes respectively, and the characteristics of recreational activities of street park users reflected in each mode are summarized. The fourth chapter, based on the data results of the environmental impact factor investigation and the clustering results of the elastic use pattern, the Spear-man correlation analysis method is used,to analyze the relationship between each environmental impact factor and the overall level of street park and the degree of flexible use of each period, and intrinsic correlations between types of recreational activities. The fifth chapter condenses and summarizes the enlightenment of planning and designoriented by "highly flexible use mode" based on the correlation results and typical research samples under each flexible use mode classification. The sixth chapter summarizes all the research conclusions, innovations and deficiencies of this paper, and puts forward prospects for the further deepening and development direction of future research. In general, this paper uses quantitative research methods for street parks in the context of high-density cities, and selects appropriate quantitative indicators to evaluate the current situation of flexible use of street-parks in the main urban area of Nanjing,as well as excavates the environmental factors that have a significant impact and summarizes the internal correlation,to provides theoretical and empirical references and suggestions for the field construction or flexible transformation of various small public green spaces such as street-parks in similar high-density cities in the future, taking Nanjing as an example.
