In recent years,the rapid development of the wind power industry has promoted the transformation of energy structure,which helps to build a low-carbon tomorrow.However,due to the decreasing number of high wind speed resource areas,wind power development is showing a trend of decreasing wind speeds.This article studies the selection and layout of wind turbines based on the characteristics of wind energy resources in typical plain wind farms,and establishes a set of methods that are helpful for the development of low wind speed plain wind farms.This has high theoretical and practical value.In this paper,data analysis,model building and field survey are used to carry out the following work:(1)Statistics and analysis of wind speed and wind power density,wind direction and wind energy characteristics,wind shear,turbulence intensity,density of air and50 year return period maximum wind speed calculation and other wind condition parameters of typical plain wind farms are conducted through measured data.(2)The three-dimensional fluid mechanics method is used to establish the calculation model of wind farm power generation by establishing the control equation,determining the boundary conditions,meshing and parameter settings.(3)The constraint conditions for the layout area were determined through the analysis of restrictive factors in the field.(4)We compared the economy of various low wind speed wind turbines suitable for this wind farm with different hub heights of recommended models.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)The characteristics of wind energy resources of typical plain wind farms are: low wind speed and wind power density,stable wind direction,concentrated wind energy distribution,and large wind shear index.The study of turbulence level and maximum wind speed with a 50 year return period provides a basis for selecting low wind speed wind farm models.(2)The wind power generation calculation model of a wind farm can output a wind resource graph and display the distribution pattern of the flow field by vectorizing the simulation of the elevation and roughness of the site area,setting parameters,and inputting calculation conditions.This is the basis for calculating power generation.(3)The boundary of the wind farm layout area was determined by analyzing the constraints on the site,and it was found that typical plain wind farms are subject to many spatial constraints and limited machine positions.(4)The use of large capacity units in typical plain wind farms can reduce the number of units,reduce the cost per kilowatt,and effectively reduce project construction costs.In high shear plain areas,by increasing the height of the wheel hub,higher high-altitude wind speeds can be obtained,significantly increasing the economic benefits of wind farms.The research method for selecting and arranging plain wind farm units under low wind speed conditions obtained in this article has certain guiding significance for the development of low wind speed wind power.
