Wind energy is clean,safe,renewable,plentiful and wildly distributed.Harvesting the wind energy with the wind turbine causes the wake effects,which diminish the overall efficiency of wind farm.Thus,the research on wind turbine wake is of realistic significance.To increase the efficiency of wind farm,it is an emergency to build a wind farm layout optimizing method to avoid the wake effects.In present study,firstly,the basic theories of wind turbine aerodynamics were introduced.Then the wake effects were simulated by Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD),based on which a new analytical wake model was purposed.Finally,the traditional wind farm layout optimization algorithm was modified and combined with the purposed analytical wake model to give a comprehensive method for wind turbine wake prediction and wind farm layout optimization.The main works are as following:(1)The basic theories of wind turbine aerodynamics were introduced and validated.The wind turbine force analyzing methods were given;(2)The numerical wind turbine was built based on wind turbine force analysis.The wake properties simulated and analyzed including velocity,turbulence intensity,Reynolds stresses,etc.Influences of using different turbulence models were discussed;(3)A new analytical wake model is purposed by the combination of the simulation results and analytical analysis;(4)Regarding the wind farm layout optimization,the genetic algorithm was modified.Combining modified algorithm and purposed analytical wake model,a comprehensive method is developed for the turbine wake predicting and the wind farm optimizing.
