China has developed one of the world’s most unique architecture systems over the course of thousands of years.Additionally,with the implementation of the protection policy of ancient buildings,more and more urban ancient buildings have been preserved and revitalized.However,these ancient buildings are now in bad condition due to the aging and inevitable damage from nature and human activity.Hence,using "preventive conservation" techniques and modern technologies to monitor and diagnose old structures in real-time is a successful strategy.In the 14 th Five-Year Plan,China will further implement the "Digital Power" strategy and experiment the construction of digital twin cities.In this thesis,Digital Twin will be applied in perserving ancient architectures.Based on the concept of Digital Twin and supported by key technologies such as Twin Model,Internet of Things,and Data Fusion,a digital conservation program for ancient buildings has been constructed,which takes the brick and wood structure as its research object,and designs a four-level evaluation system for the health of ancient buildings,thus build a digital twin-based health monitoring and diagnosis platform for ancient buildings in Yantai City.First of all,this thesis will sort out the theoretical research background related to ancient building conservation,structural health monitoring and digital twin.And then put forward the demand for monitoring and diagnosis of ancient buildings with brick and wood structure by combining the current situation of domestic and foreign research.Going into details,firstly,I will build a digital conservation scheme for ancient buildings protection;secondly,I will design an assessment system for the health of ancient buildings;thirdly,I will develop a health monitoring and diagnosis platform for ancient buildings.Furthermore,this thesis will also analyse the characteristics of ancient buildings in China according to the historical development lineage of ancient buildings,and examine the composition of ancient buildings and monoliths,the structural forces,material characteristics,and environment as well.A targeted analysis of ancient building clusters in Yantai city will be conducted,with a summary on the common characteristics of the demaged ancient buildings with brick and wood structure and an estimation on the type of sensors for real-time monitoring according to the national and local ancient building identification standards.Besides,the thesis will also analyze the concepts and theoretical studies of twin model,Internet of Things,data fusion and other technologies,then compare and select the suitable technologies.BIM technology is selected to establish the twin model,LoRa gateway for multi-sensor one-point multi-star sensor networking,D-S evidence theory as the core algorithm for multi-source data fusion,and Unreal Engine and WDP platform as the basis for digital twin platform design and development.Based on the above analysis,I will then construct a digital conservation program for ancient buildings and determine an implementation process.Last but not least,I will classify the health status of ancient buildings on the basis of the national and local ancient building identification standards and data fusion theory.Starting from individual components,partial systems and the building as a whole,this thesis combines the nodes for health data fusion and fusion results.Then divides the whole process of fusion diagnosis into three layers and four grades.The construction of this thsis bases on the D-S evidence theory with fuzzy affiliation of ancient buildings to create the four-level health assessment system,so the health status of ancient buildings can be controlled as a whole and partly traceable.To conclude,this thesis designs a B / S architecture of health monitoring and diagnosis platform using the digital conservation program as its blueprint,and the ancient buildings protection project in Yantai City.Additionally,it utilises the tool of Unreal Engine and WDP platform and uses HTML,JavaScript and other development languages as its languages,and the four-level health assessment system as the core diagnostic algorithm.Through a based intelligent screen in the Web,people can achieve the real-time view of the health status of a city’s ancient buildings,and achieve the dynamic warning and automatic adjustment of environmental humidity.Which makes the ancient building has its own self-awareness,automatic diagnosis,timely warning and self-repairing function.
