With the rapid development of higher education in China,the campus landscape plays an increasingly important role in the construction of the university.The problem of inadequate educational functions.Therefore,this thesis intends to use literature analysis,case study,field research and other methods to research,based on the theory of participation,and apply it to the design of campus science landscape,in order to solve the above problems,so that the campus landscape has the meaning of science popularization while participating in the experience.This thesis develops from the following paths.Firstly,it analyzes the current situation of the application of participatory design theory in the popular science landscape of universities at home and abroad;secondly,it studies the correspondence between the theory and the popular science landscape design,proposes new design ideas for the design practice through case study method,and summarizes the participatory science landscape design methods and strategies of universities;finally,it takes the popular science landscape of oil drilling of Northeast Petroleum University for design practice,and extracts the knowledge of oil drilling and the characteristic culture of the campus by using the knowledge of oil drilling.Finally,the design practice of oil drilling science landscape of Northeastern University of Petroleum,through the extraction of oil drilling knowledge and campus characteristics of culture,the use of design aesthetics,the integration of campus culture into the landscape design,the design of participatory science landscape artifacts,the design of campus characteristics of cultural nodes and the design of oil knowledge science video.Finally,through the design practice,the participation is integrated into the campus science landscape,so that teachers and students can gain knowledge in the process of recreation and experience in participation,and achieve the purpose of landscape education,which provides a reference for the university landscape planning and design.It is hoped that this study will provide new ideas for the creation of university campus landscape in the future.
