| In recent years,China’s economic growth has been declining,state-owned enterprises are faced with low operating efficiency,increasing operating costs,financing difficulties and other problems,diversification strategy is no longer suitable for the development strategy of state-owned enterprises.In order to improve the operation of state-owned enterprises,the government encourages state-owned enterprises to implement the refocusing strategy,proposes to adjust the economic structure of state-owned enterprises,and remove the "two non" and "two capital".In October 2022,the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China further proposed that state-owned enterprises should strengthen the main business management,and the policy promotion and the trend of social development accelerate the implementation of the refocusing policy.Under the background of the reform of state-owned enterprises entering the critical stage,this paper selects China National Heavy Duty Truck Group as the case study object,based on the resource-based theory,core competence theory,competitive advantage theory,value chain theory and product-market evolution matrix,analyzes the motivation and path of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group’s implementation of refocusing strategy and its impact on performance.The research finds that the motivation for enterprises to implement refocusing strategy mainly includes external environment and internal pressure.External environment refers to the country’s release of relevant policies focusing on the main business to promote enterprises to implement the refocusing strategy,and the enterprise’s operation is confronted with serious market competition pressure.The internal pressure mainly lies in the enterprise’s core products need to be optimized and the quality of core products needs to be improved.The operation and management efficiency of enterprises needs to be improved,and the profitability of enterprises needs to be improved.China National Heavy Duty Truck Group implements refocusing strategy in two ways:refocusing strategy contraction and refocusing strategy expansion.Refocusing strategy contraction refers to stripping off non-main businesses or non-performing assets.China National Heavy Duty Truck Group mainly strips off non-major businesses such as real estate,kindergarten and property.In addition,enterprises focus on expansion from four aspects: increasing research and development funds,expanding sales channels,deepening strategic cooperation and optimizing supply chain management.This paper analyzes the performance changes of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group and main heavy truck Jinan Trucks before and after the implementation of the refocusing strategy.Compared with the average level of the industry,it finally concludes that the implementation of the refocusing strategy has effectively improved the operating capacity,debt paying capacity,growth capacity and profitability of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group and main heavy Truck Jinan Trucks.The value of Jinan Trucks,the main truck,has also been improved,so the refocusing strategy has a positive impact on the performance of the enterprise.In addition,after the implementation of the refocusing strategy,the market share of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group’s heavy truck products has gradually increased,and the research and development technology has also been upgraded.Meanwhile,as the main business company of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group,Sinotruk Jinan Trucks has introduced a large number of talents after the implementation of the refocusing strategy,which has improved the company’s R&D and innovation ability.Meanwhile,with the continuous optimization of core products,The number of patents is increasing.China National Heavy Duty Truck Group is a state-owned high-end equipment manufacturing enterprise,which takes high-end technology as the guide to drive the rapid development of upstream and downstream enterprises.Meanwhile,high-end equipment includes both traditional industries and materials required by the development of emerging industries.The analysis of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group is more representative.As well as a comprehensive analysis of performance,it makes up for the lack of previous literature by analyzing the motivation,path and impact on performance of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group’s implementation of refocusing strategy.China National Heavy Duty Truck Group’s implementation of refocusing strategy can provide ideas for the transformation of other enterprises.According to the motivation and path of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group’s implementation of refocusing strategy,it can set up correct cognition for other enterprises and help them quickly understand the problems they are facing and their solutions.The strategic transformation of high-end equipment manufacturing enterprises can also provide guidance for the regulatory authorities to formulate relevant policies. |
