Under the background of double carbon goal,the capacity of wind power connected to the grid has been greatly increased.However,the uncontrollable and fluctuating characteristics of wind power cause a urgent need to solve the problem of peak regulation in the power system.It is difficult to relieve the pressure of peak regulation by conventional thermal power units only.The income of auxiliary service helps to improve the enthusiasm of flexible resources to participate in peak regulating.In recent years,a series of compensatory policies for auxiliary service of peak regulating were introduced to mobilize various subjects to participate in peak regulating.Energy storage has the characteristics of rapid response and flexible installation position,and its auxiliary thermal power participation in peak regulation can bring considerable economic benefits and alleviate the problem of new energy consumption.Under the above background,this paper studies the participation of energy storage in peak regulation optimization configuration considering the benefits of auxiliary services.The main research work is as follows:Firstly,the research status of the application of energy storage in the power system is summarized,the operation status and policy situation of the auxiliary service market to promote the consumption of new energy are analyzed,and the research status of the participation of various peak regulating resources in the auxiliary service is summarized.This paper analyzes the mechanism of energy storage participation in peak regulation and the mechanism of thermal power unit depth peak regulation,studies the composition of the whole life cycle cost of energy storage,and establishes the basic unit model of peak regulation considering the benefits of auxiliary service,including the energy storage economic model oriented to auxiliary service of peak regulation and the thermal power unit depth peak regulation economic operation model.Secondly,a model of energy storage participation in peak regulation considering the demand response of load side is established.Based on the comprehensive consideration of the relationship between energy storage and the economy and the effect of peak regulation in thermal power unit,a configuration scheme of energy storage assisted thermal power unit peak regulation is proposed,and the optimal configuration of energy storage is studied by establishing a two-layer model.The outer layer of the model initializes the capacity and power of energy storage by genetic algorithm,the inner layer optimizes the output of energy storage and thermal power unit by solver,and the inner and outer layers interactively iterate to determine the optimal configuration of energy storage.A local power grid data is selected for simulation analysis.The simulation results prove that energy storage configuration can improve the economic benefits of the system and effectively improve the consumption rate of new energy under the premise of considering the benefits of auxiliary services.Finally,the paper studies the location and capacity of energy storage participating in the peak regulation of power system considering the flexible transformation of thermal power units.Under the premise of considering the compensation policy of energy storage peak regulation and the stepped compensation mechanism of thermal power unit peak regulation,the energy storage is allocated to the side of the system network,and the comprehensive income of the system peak regulation is taken as the index to analyze the location and capacity of energy storage.The improved genetic algorithm is used to solve the installation node,optimal rated capacity and optimal rated power of energy storage.The improved IEEE39-node system is used as an example to compare various modes of thermal power units with or without modification and storage configuration,evaluate the economic benefits and peak regulation effects of the system after storage configuration,verify the effectiveness of the proposed energy storage configuration method in improving the benefits of system auxiliary services,and analyze the influencing factors of the benefits of system auxiliary services.
