Traditional camouflage techniques such as camouflage often use fixed colors and patterns to achieve the integration of the target and background. With the change of time and space, the spectral characteristics of the camouflage target and background will produce corresponding dynamic changes and it will be difficult to maintain consistent,in high precision,multi-spectral and full time optical reconnaissance means,it is difficult to conceal camouflage effectively,so there is an urgent need to develop adaptive camouflage technology that can adapt to dynamic changes in space and time. The key to adaptive camouflage technology for counter-optical reconnaissance is to obtain the difference of spectral characteristics between the target and the background, and to take real-time dynamic spectral feature adjustment accordingly. One of the important and difficult problems is the analysis of spatio-temporal spectral feature consistency between target and background. The problem of spatio-temporal spectral feature consistency analysis of target and background is based on the application of adaptive camouflage technology for dynamic fusion of target and background, and the analysis and evaluation of spatio-temporal dynamic change consistency of target and background spectral characteristics under the dynamic change of spatio-temporal relationship of camouflage target, ground background and reconnaissance threat platform,so as to provide basic support for adaptive camouflage system control and camouflage scheme design. In this paper,we address the important and difficult problem of analyzing the spatio-temporal spectral consistency of target and background in adaptive camouflage technology, and carry out specific research in three aspects: spectral distribution model construction, spectral feature extraction and spectral consistency evaluation, and the main research contents and innovations are as follows:(1)Based on the theory of electromagnetic radiation transmission and the interaction between electromagnetic waves and matter, the spectral imaging link between target and background in the spectral detection process is established, and the relevant factors affecting the spectral distribution of target and background in the imaging link are analyzed;combined with the adaptive camouflage application scenario and typical spectral detection threat means, the main influencing factors affecting the energy at the pupil of the spectral detector are analyzed, and the secondary or irrelevant factors are normalized and quantified.Theoretically, the quantitative relationship between spectral distribution and time and space in different application scenarios is derived, and a simplified model of target and background spectral distribution is established, which provides a theoretical basis for subsequent spatio-temporal spectral feature extraction and spatio-temporal spectral consistency analysis.(2)To meet the demand of adaptive camouflage for the refinement of spatio-temporal spectral information,a camouflage spectral index for fine characterization of spectral properties is proposed, which overcomes the deficiency of traditional spectral similarity features that tend to neglect spectral detail information;based on the above spectral distribution model, the model parameters are obtained by generalized inverse matrix regression fitting, and then the kernel coefficient consistency index is constructed to characterize the spatial spectral characteristics of the target and background by fitting the spectral curves at different times into surfaces and then constructing multi-temporal spectral surface volumes to characterize the temporal spectral characteristics of targets and backgrounds, the problem that traditional consistency analysis methods do not contain spatial and temporal information is solved in the spectral feature extraction. The spectral feature extraction method proposed in the study is the basis for consistency analysis.(3)Based on the above pseudo-spectral index, the heterogeneous vector [feature, time, space] is obtained by adding the combination of temporal and spatial information, and the comprehensive consistency index is obtained by combining the characteristics with the law of temporal and spatial variation and weighting each feature based on entropy weighting method to realize the temporal and spatial spectral consistency analysis of the target and background;based on the above-mentioned temporal and spatial spectral characteristics, the kernel coefficient consistency index and the multi-temporal spectral characteristics are constructed to realize the spatio-temporal spectral consistency analysis of target and background. The proposed method provides an effective means to evaluate the consistency of target and background spectra when spatio-temporal dynamics change, and solves the problem that the traditional method is not applicable to adaptive camouflage scenes because it cannot characterize the law of spatio-temporal dynamics change.
