The increase in China’s urbanization rate,the improvement of residents’ quality of life,and the increase in the sales proportion of hardbound houses are jointly driving the cabinet industry to maintain double-digit sustained and rapid growth.With the transformation of contemporary young consumers’ attitudes,the public’s acceptance of open kitchens and attention to island units are also constantly increasing.Currently,most island units in China are imitating Western cabinet styles,resulting in insufficient innovation and homogenization of products.This topic takes the functional needs of Kitchen Island as the starting point,starts from the experience of design thinking,takes the functional compounding theory as the design guidance,and uses the behavior observation method,statistical reliability and validity analysis,Kano model,AHP level analysis and other methods to conduct research from four aspects: product user positioning,product pain point mining,product functional demand positioning,and design improvement.It mainly solves the problems of functional disorder,unclear demand positioning,and product function screening in functional composite products.The article is divided into three parts: firstly,an analysis and research on the structure and function of island platforms.Through desktop research data,the characteristics of domestic and foreign island platforms are analyzed and compared.Then,combined with household research,the shape,function,and usage space of island platforms are summarized to identify the problems in product design.2、 Research on the concept of functional composite,through comparative analysis of literature and foreign functional composite products,summarizes the characteristics,design trends,types,and design methods of functional composite products.To lay the groundwork for the improvement of the design method in the following text.3 、Through questionnaires and design experiments,we aim to obtain kitchen user experience information and satisfaction with various functional areas.Through interviews,we summarize the three aspects of appearance requirements,functional requirements,and intelligent requirements.By using Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)to classify different levels of requirements,we can accurately locate user needs.In summary,three optimization methods for island design have been summarized,namely:functional grading design based on spatial form,demand oriented functional module design,and intelligent device assisted design.The five principles of island platform design are: safety principle,product structure rationality principle,functional clarity principle,product ease of operation principle,and user demand principle.Based on demand data,optimize the design of island platforms in practice,provide a new approach and method for the innovation of functional composite products,and reflect on the research shortcomings,proposing new prospects for the development of island platform design. |
