Abstract/Summary:
The seawall plays a vital role in coastal protection projects by defending the land from the intrusion of waves from the open sea, ensuring the normal operation of the land.In recent years, extreme tide phenomena have frequently occurred, and the existing seawalls are unable to meet the needs of wave-blocking,flood control, landscape, and leisure in the coastal areas. Therefore, the Anlan billion-dollar project in Zhejiang Province proposed to upgrade and reinforce the existing seawalls. In the past, upgrading and reinforcing seawalls mainly involved raising the height of the embankment, but this method is prone to seawall deformation, instability, and loss of aesthetics. The composite seawall can respond to the call of height for width and has good wave reduction effects.Research on composite seawalls can provide a theoretical basis for designing seawall bodies in seawall engineering. This thesis studies the wave-breaking capacity and spatial distribution pattern of composite seawall structures through physical model test methods. The main research contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)After non-dimensionalizing the measured values of wave overtopping and comparing them with calculated values from relevant formulas both domestically and abroad,it was found that the fitting degree with the domestically relevant formula was higher, and the highest fitting degree was obtained with the formula proposed by Chen Guoping.(2)This thesis improved the Chen Guoping formula based on experimental values, and obtained the formula for calculating the wave overtopping at the top of the complex seawall with a lower slope of 1:2,an upper slope of 1:0.4,and a middle wave-absorbing platform of0.15 m.(3)The distribution of the wave overtopping behind the seawall can be obtained by measuring the wave overtopping in each level of the water tank.It was found through analysis that the wave overtopping behind the seawall decreases with the increase of distance behind the seawall, and the distribution follows an exponential function trend.(4)The range of wave impact points is related to the relative height of the seawall, which also affects the spatial distribution of the wave overtopping behind the seawall. The spatial distribution of the wave overtopping behind the seawall is related to the parameter k,so k is related to the relative height of the seawall.Under the same wave steepness and crest freeboard, the k value gradually decreases with the increase of the relative height of the seawall.(5)This thesis fitted the formula for the spatial distribution of wave overtopping on the top of the complex seawall with a lower slope of 1:2,an upper slope of 1:0.4,and a middle wave-absorbing platform of 0.15 m by fitting the k value with the wave steepness, crest freeboard, and relative height of the seawall.
