Rural rivers are the main lifeline of rural production,life,and ecological environment.The implementation of rural ecological river construction is an important means of rural river management in China at present,and also an important content of implementing the rural revitalization strategy.Based on local background conditions,human interference,and the current situation of ecological river construction,and based on on-site investigation and monitoring data,a rural ecological river evaluation model is constructed to evaluate the status of rural ecological river.This has important practical value for promoting and guiding the construction of rural ecological river.Based on extensive research on healthy and ecological rivers,this article takes 16 rural rivers in Shatou Town,Yangzhou City as the research object(15 rivers are used for modeling,and the rest are used as validation models).Through on-site investigation and monitoring data analysis of typical river sections,combined with the characteristics of river channels in plain river network areas,an evaluation index system for rural ecological river conditions in Shatou Town and an evaluation model based on principal component analysis are constructed,Based on the evaluation results,ideas and measures for rural ecological river management were proposed,which can provide reference for local ecological river construction.The main achievements and conclusions of the paper are as follows:(1)Based on a comparative analysis of local standards or norms related to ecological rivers in Jiangsu,Anhui,Zhejiang,and Jiangxi provinces,as well as a large amount of relevant research literature on word cloud map analysis,a two-layer framework of goal index and an evaluation system of 24 indicators were constructed to evaluate the status of rural ecological rivers.(2)Based on the principal component analysis method,a rural ecological river channel condition evaluation model was constructed,and the grading interval of the ecological river channel condition in the study area was determined based on the relative comprehensive evaluation index(abbreviated as RIEI),which is "excellent" between(0.91,1],"good"between(0.84,0.91],"medium" between(0.67,0.84],and "poor" between[0,0.67].(3)The 15 river used for modeling in the research area were analyzed and evaluated by river sections(53 river sections),river channels,and sub regions(divided into 3 sub regions).The results showed that the proportion of excellent,good,medium,and poor river sections was 26%,25%,25%,and 24%,respectively;The proportion of excellent,good,medium,and poor in the river is 13%,27%,40%,and 20%respectively;In the sub regions,RIEI(Ⅱ)>RIEI(Ⅲ)>RIEI(Ⅰ),and the evaluation levels of zones Ⅰ,Ⅱ,and Ⅲ are medium,good,and good,respectively.(4)The universal principles of rural ecological river management in plain river network areas have been clarified,including overall principles,systematic principles,and localization principles;Based on the evaluation results,the ideas for rural river regulation in the research area and the key points for regulating different levels of river sections were proposed.In response to the unique agricultural non-point source pollution problem in rural areas,two ectopic purification measures have been proposed:one is to design an ecological drainage ditch that integrates filtering,purification,and reduction functions,and the other is to propose a way to establish hydraulic connections between rivers and ecological ponds.
