Today,with the rapid development of urban economy,people have not only improved their material living standards,but also changed their consumption concepts.More and more people regard tourism as one of the leisure ways to alleviate the pressure of life,work,and learning.Therefore,the development of urban tourism industry has received more attention,and major cities have begun to participate in the design and practice of their own urban image,A good city image can not only highlight its own regional cultural characteristics,but also enhance the cohesion of the city.Chinese culture has a long history,is extensive and profound,and each city has a unique regional cultural heritage.Relying on the unique regional culture of the city to carry out urban image design practice,not only can it create its unique city name card,but also can promote the economic and cultural construction of the city.As the "First Capital of China",Linfen is one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization and one of the important birthplaces of the Chinese nation.Linfen has a long history and profound culture,which provides a strong support for the shaping of the city’s image.This topic first sorted out the concepts of regional culture and urban image design through consulting relevant literature and materials,and discussed the relationship between the two,thereby laying a solid theoretical foundation for future design practice.Then,through data collection,field research,questionnaire survey,and case analysis,it conceived the urban image design of Linfen under the background of regional culture,forming a systematic design idea,From three aspects of the concept,principles,and methods of Linfen urban image design under the background of regional culture,this paper determines a feasible design direction,and ultimately carries out the practice of Linfen urban image design,in order to better create the Linfen city name card,promote Linfen regional culture,and promote the rapid development of Linfen tourism and economy.
