| With the development of national economic transformation and the significant improvement of residents’ living standards,the development momentum of China’s tourism industry has increased steadily,and people’s tourism consumption level has also increased day by day.More and more tourists show unconventional attention and choice for travel destinations.In addition to traditional tourism destinations,a number of emerging tourism destinations are gradually becoming the first choice of tourists.Due to the regional differences and imbalances in the development level of tourism,these emerging tourism destinations are in a backward state in terms of development time and level.Therefore,they are also called late-development tourism destinations.The development trend and catch-up phenomenon of late-development tourism destinations have gradually become the focus of attention.Compared with the tourism development of the first developing tourist destination,the late-development tourist destination is at a disadvantage in terms of environmental conditions,development foundation and other conditions,because it has not been developed and lags behind in time,and is covered by the homogeneous competition and image of the surrounding first developing tourist destination.Therefore,explore how the second developing tourist destination can find a comparative advantage in the regional competition under the disadvantage of the second developing tourist destination,The path of successful catch-up and its influencing factors and catch-up mode are of great significance.In order to study this problem,this paper introduces the theory of tourism destination competition and late development catch-up into the research of late development tourism destination catch-up.Through the collation and analysis of a large number of documents,this paper reviews the research status of late-development tourism destination,tourism destination competition and catch-up theory at home and abroad.On the basis of literature analysis,using multi case study methods,taking Guizhou,Changzhou and Yuntai Mountain as the research objects,through intra case analysis and cross case analysis,this paper explores the influencing factors and evolution mechanism of post catch-up in the process of catch-up and overtaking of late-development tourist destinations,and connects with the external environment and catch-up action from the time dimensions of starting period,development period and transformation period,Combined with the process dimension of catch-up results,the catch-up strategy evolves in different stages from three opportunity windows of demand,system and infrastructure and three aspects of resources,marketing and innovation,and constructs the catch-up model and path model of late-development tourism destinations.Finally,through the research,the following conclusions are drawn: combining the opportunity window affected by external environmental factors and the strategic formulation of internal catch-up action,this paper discusses the choice of comparative advantage of late-development tourism destinations in the process of catching up in the face of market demand and competitive environment.According to the analysis of the competitive environment in the region,select the catch-up mode to adapt to the ability and action of late developing tourism destinations in each stage,and finally form three catch-up modes: Strategic follow-up mode,market fill in mode and regional leading mode,so as to realize the catch-up performance from market entry to brand establishment and then to industry benchmark. |
