Research On Enterprise Water Management Based On Risk Control

With growing populations and economic growth around the world leading to an increasing demand for water,global warming exacerbating the instability of water supply,and water pollution leading to increasing water quality shortages,the water supply crisis will become one of the highest risks facing mankind in the future.The company is responsible for water scarcity and water pollution.On the one hand,companies are less efficient in water use,resulting in wasteful water use;On the other hand,the arbitrary discharge of industrial wastewater has caused different degrees of water pollution in China,and the consequences of water pollution are very serious and the scope of impact is also very extensive.Companies should actively take action to manage water risks in response to the water risks they face.Therefore,this paper conducts research on the company’s water risk management,provides theoretical and methodological guidance for the company to carry out water risk management activities,and helps the company realize from water risk to value creation.First of all,the paper sorts out the relevant literature on water risk,laying the foundation for the research of this paper.Secondly,the categories of water risks faced by enterprises are introduced,including physical risks,regulatory risks and reputational risks;The value of water to enterprises is reflected in four aspects: business continuity,business license,reputation and brand value,and innovation value;Based on the perspective of water value,the importance of water risk control of enterprises is analyzed.Finally,the article puts forward corresponding suggestions from four aspects: company water accounting,company water quota management,company water audit and company water information disclosure to help companies manage water risks.Specifically: At the level of enterprise water accounting,the method,scope and content of enterprise water accounting are introduced;At the level of company water quota management,the basis and process of the company’s preparation of water quota are clarified,and the company is helped to implement the water quota;At the level of corporate water audit,the steps,contents and how to prepare water audit reports are introduced to help companies conduct water audits;At the level of corporate water information disclosure,the standardization,realization and guarantee of corporate water information disclosure provide reference for its water information disclosure.
