Research On The Construction Of Railway Staff In The Early Days Of The Founding Of The People’s Republic Of China(1949-1956)

As a modern means of transportation,railway is also the main artery of China’s national economic development.It plays a very important role in promoting economic development and safeguarding national security.However,in the early days of the founding of the People’s Republic of China,China’s railway system was seriously damaged due to the long-term war.In addition,China’s railway modernization level is low,and the scale and quality of railway workers can not meet the needs of national development and construction.In this regard,based on the needs of consolidating the new political power and building the people’s railway,the Ministry of Railways of the Central People’s government has made great efforts to build the railway workforce.At the beginning of the founding of the PRC,China’s railway workforce was still relatively young and immature,and there were still many problems,such as a serious shortage of employees,and the urgent need of improvement on ideological,cultural and professional qualities.Therefore,at that time,the construction of railway staff was mainly carried out in the following two aspects: in terms of expanding the scale of the team,the Ministry of Railways not only implemented the policy of retaining the original salary of the original railway staff,but also carried out social recruitment,absorbing a large number of Railway staff;Meanwhile,the Ministry of Railways also attaches great importance to the expansion of the cadre team,and has adopted the way of promoting former cadres and activists in the production movement,which has expanded the railway cadre team to a great extent.In terms of improving the quality of the team,it mainly involves the work style,political and cultural education,professional skill education,and cultural and sports activities.Under the leadership of the Party and League organization and the exemplary role of railway heroes and models,all aspects of the railway workers have been comprehensively improved,including the political consciousness,the cultural quality and the professional quality.Overall,the construction of railway staff in the early days of the founding of the PRC has achieved good results,which has,not only directly promoted the development of China’s people’s railway industry,but also played a positive role in consolidating the new political power and restoring and developing the national economy to a certain extent.However,since the construction of railway workforce in the PRC is still in its infancy,problems will inevitably occur in the construction process,such as unsound management system and formalistic tendency,which may affect the railway safety to a certain extent.Reviewing this history,summing up the experience,and drawing lessons will provide a good reference and reference significance for the construction of China’s railway workforce in the new era.
