Research On The Influence Of Intelligent Development On Manufacturing Enterprises Performance

At present,China’s economy is shifting from a stage of highspeed growth to a stage of high-quality development.As a pillar industry of national economy,manufacturing has injected continuous impetus into China’s prosperity.With the continuous advancement of the transition from traditional economy to intelligent economy,the high-speed economic growth model driven by extensive factors can no longer survive the current economic environment.Intelligent development serves as a new engine for the growth of the manufacturing enterprises performance.However,there is not enough evidence to show intelligent development has an impact on the performance of manufacturing enterprises,and the way it influences is still under exploration.Clarifying the relationship between intelligent development and the performance of manufacturing enterprises and its internal mechanism will help manufacturing enterprises to realize intelligent transformation and upgrading.Therefore,as China’s economy embarks on a new journey,exploring the impact of intelligent development on the performance of manufacturing enterprises and its internal mechanism is relevant to the high-quality development of China’s manufacturing industry and its economy.First,it is based on relevant literature and theories as well as existing research findings.Next,it analyzes the impact of intelligent development on the performance of manufacturing enterprises and its internal mechanism based on resource-based theory and dynamic capability theory,and forms the hypothesis of the main effect,mediating effect and moderating effect.Based on data of A-share listed manufacturing companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2015-2019,it demonstrates the main effect of intelligent development on the performance of manufacturing enterprises,the mediating effect of dynamic capability between the development of intelligence and the performance of manufacturing enterprises;and the moderating effects of enterprise ownership and market competition from the perspectives of enterprise internal attributes and external market environment.And it further analyzes the heterogeneity from the micro-characteristics and macro-economic environment.Finally,based on the research above,it puts forward management and policy suggestions.The research results proved that:(1)Intelligent development has a significant role in promoting the performance of manufacturing enterprises,and the conclusion is confirmed by the robustness test and endogeneity test.(2)The mediation effect mechanism test proved that intelligent development promotes the improvement of enterprise performance by improving the dynamic ability of manufacturing enterprises.(3)The moderating effect mechanism proved that;compared with non-stateowned manufacturing enterprises,the intelligent development of stateowned manufacturing enterprises’ impact on enterprise performance is more notable;Compared with manufacturing enterprises in a more competitive environment,the intelligent development of manufacturing enterprises in a less competitive environment has a more remarkable effect on performance improvement.(4)The heterogeneity mechanism proved that:when taking the micro-characteristics of enterprises into account,compared with non-labor-intensive manufacturing enterprises,the intelligent development of labor-intensive manufacturing enterprises has a more significant impact on performance;Intelligent development helps the performance of large-scale manufacturing enterprises,while it impedes the performance of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises;when taking the characteristics of the external macroeconomic environment into account,intelligent development has a significant positive impact on the performance of manufacturing enterprises in the eastern,central and western regions,but has a greater impact on the central and western enterprises.Finally,based on the research above,some management and policy suggestions are put forward for enterprises and governments,which provide a theoretical guidance and evidence for promoting the transformation,upgrading and high-quality development of China’s manufacturing enterprises.
