In the increasingly competitive era of commercialization,organizational competitive advantage increasingly depends on the initiative and creativity of internal employees.According to the social exchange theory,the employment relationship of the organization is essentially a social exchange process based on reciprocal norms.The organization and employees expect each other’s investment and return.Based on this psychological contract,the employer employee relationship will last.Employees who are satisfied will have a willingness to return,take the initiative to assume the responsibility of organizational construction and actively participate in out of role behaviors such as innovation.So how does an individual evaluate the value of the return on work? Subjective value theory points out that value comes from the satisfaction of needs,according to which individuals evaluate the return of work value,produce subjective satisfaction and make behavioral decisions.Compared with the relatively objective income satisfaction,the satisfaction based on subjective value judgment will have a higher driving force,effectively stimulate employees’ awareness of mutual benefit,produce constructive sense of responsibility and transform it into behavior will.Further,the construction level theory points out that psychological distance affects the cognitive process because it affects the individual’s processing process of thing representation information,which leads to the difference of self-others decision-making.There is psychological distance between managers and employee departments,and there may be a deviation between employees’ innovation intention and employees’ real innovation intention.Based on this,this paper will explore the different effects of the two kinds of satisfaction on innovation intention,as well as the mediating role of responsibility perception and the regulating role of psychological distance.Based on social exchange theory and construction level theory,this paper takes 354 MBA students from a 985 University in Hunan Province as a sample to explore the mechanism of job satisfaction on innovation intention through three empirical studies.The research shows that:(1)innovation intention has nothing to do with income satisfaction,but is positively affected by subjective satisfaction,and the innovation intention under subjective satisfaction is significantly higher than that under income satisfaction;(2)When inferring others’ innovation intention,it is significantly positively affected by income satisfaction and subjective satisfaction,but their own innovation intention has nothing to do with income satisfaction and subjective satisfaction;(3)Responsibility perception completely mediates the effect of subjective satisfaction on innovation intention;(4)Subjective satisfaction can better stimulate the willingness to innovate.However,in reality,most people hold objective axiology.Finally,according to the empirical results,this paper provides relevant suggestions for managers to effectively improve employees’ willingness to innovate.
