The flower border was colorful and varied in form,and it was an important landscape that shows the culture and style of the city.Hangzhou was one of the early cities that widely used flower borders.Its quantity and quality were at a relatively high level in China,but its color design has not yet formed a complete system.Based on the in-depth investigation and research on the flower border in Hangzhou city,this paper used Matlab to extract the color of the flower border,and explores the change of the composition factors of the flower border color with the seasons;divided the color preference level based on the SBE standard value,and used the mathematical statistics software SPASS 24 establish a multivariate linear regression model of flower border color elements-color preference level to explore the color elements that affect the color preference level of flower borders;through the quantitative study of high-quality flower border color combinations,summarize the high-quality flower border color configuration mode,and analyze the color matching of flower borders in Hangzhou.Both theoretical and practical instruction were provided.The main research methods and conclusions were as follows:(1)The HSV color space was selected,and the hue,saturation,and lightness were divided into uneven 19:4:4 levels.Have Using the software quantification method and the Matlab self-made program,the hue,saturation and lightness values of each level in the color combination of the flower border were extracted and the proportions were calculated.(2)Having quantified the color of 58 species of flowers and plants in spring,43 species in summer,44 species in autumn,and 16 species in winter,a color database was established and a visual map of hue was drawn.Among the 19 hues in the HSV color space,the flower colors of individual plants in the Hangzhou flower border covered more than 12 hue levels in the four seasons,with a rich variety of colors.Among the many hues,the species of flowers with H1 red and H19 rose red were the most abundant,while the species of H6 yellow-green flowers were relatively scarce.(3)Based on the SBE standard value,the preference level of the color combination of the flower border was calculated,and the regression model between the preference level P and the color composition factors was established.The results showed that increasing the proportion of H1(red),H2(orange),H3(orange),H13(blue),H16(purple)flowers and reducing the proportion of H15(bluepurple)flowers increased people’s perception of flower borders.Preference for color combinations.(4)By analyzing the color characteristics of the four seasons of high-quality flower borders color combination,the following conclusions were drawn: flower borders with 4-6 main colors,about 30%coverage of lower flowers,numerous and concentrated flowers,and warm color combinations were preferred.In summer,people prefered flower borders with fewer colors,generally not more than 4,with less coverage of lower flowers,small and scattered flowers,and a background of lush foliage.In autumn,people prefered flower borders with 2-3 main colors,lower flowers coverage below 30%,and color combinations that focus on adjacent complementary colors.In winter,flower borders with around 4main colors,set against a background of mixed evergreen and deciduous forest,and color combinations that focus on similar hues are more preferred.
