| Under the goal of carbon neutrality, the wind power industry will be confronted with leapfrog development. As a typical project driven industry, wind power projects often emphasize completing complex tasks that meet certain standards in a limited time, which makes the staff involved face great work pressure and high incidence of job burnout, and the unique characteristics of wind power projects are easy to lead to technical debt.At the same time, the whole industry is facing the transformation from extensive development to high-quality development.Under this background, the research topic of the impact of wind power engineering technical debt on job burnout is put forward, and the following four specific questions are answered:(1)Is there technical debt in the field of wind power engineering, and if so,how often does it happen?(2)What is the relationship between wind power engineering technical debt and job burnout?(3)What is the relationship between the management behavior of technical debt in the field of wind power engineering and the job burnout?(4)Do gender, age and education have a moderating effect on the relationship between technical debt and job burnout? If yes,how to moderate it?By introducing the concept of technical debt originated from software engineering, the main research purpose is to explore the relationship between technical debt and job burnout. After that,it also studies the current situation of technical debt and job burnout in the field of wind power engineering, and the moderating effect of gender, age and education on the relationship between technical debt and job burnout.Questionnaire(self-administered)and personal structured interview were used to collect data for quantitative study, including 76 effective questionnaires and 8 interviewees. The following conclusions are obtained through data analysis:(1)technical debt occurs frequently in the field of wind power engineering, and the main reason is the insufficient investment of human resources.(2)After excluding the effects of age, gender and education, technical debt has a significant positive impact on the three dimensions of job burnout.(3)The three technical debt management behaviors of "prevention","communication" and "repayment" can alleviate the symptoms of job burnout, but the effect of "repayment" behavior is significantly lower than the other two.The alleviating degree of "revention" behavior is slightly higher than that of "communication",but it is not significant(4)Age has a negative moderating effect on the relationship between technical debt and job burnout. That is,for the symptoms of job burnout caused by the same level of technical debt, the young(≤ 30 years old)will be significantly higher than the elderly. But gender and education did not, which needs further research. The results show that the management of technical debt in the field of wind power engineering will be an effective way to alleviate the symptoms of engineers’ job burnout.Compared with the elderly,we should pay more attention to the occupational mental health of young engineers. |
