With the continuous development of society, the urban population is increasing year by year, the population types are becoming more and more diversified, and the housing problem can not be ignored.Due to the limitations of economy, industry and time,it is impossible to reflect the various needs of users in the conceptual design stage of high-density housing. Therefore, the idea of open source is introduced in the architectural design stage to provide participation opportunities for expert and non expert users. At the same time,computer-aided technology and parametric design method are combined to better realize user-based personalized customization,so as to deal with the diversity of public demand for housing in the future. This article first classified and analyzed the open source architectural design methods at home and abroad, and at the same time combed and studied the related theories and practices of parametric mass customization.Combining with specific Hong Kong large-scale residential design practice,an open source architectural design framework suitable for large-scale housing customization was proposed, and the design framework was simulated through the Grasshopper in Rhino. In the simulation process, the results generated by algorithms such as Primm and wave function collapse are controlled by parametric means to build different levels of architectural element databases, and provide an interface for non-expert users to participate in conceptual design during the design process. These elements are used to realize the parameter connection of collective data between the user and the architect, and meet the user’s personalized customization needs in the design stage. The purpose of this paper is to provide a reference for more open and participatory design practices in the future. |
