Living street,as the place most closely connected with residents’ life in urban streets, carries residents’ emotional sustenance as well as strong life atmosphere and vitality, and its landscape optimization is of great significance to improve residents’ street life experience.Taking Tianjin city center 20 life-service street section of the sample area as the research object,to city residents as the research object, explore the differences of different age groups landscape preferences, and opposite active walking street landscape elements and landscape preference of different age groups of index correlation analysis, explore the landscape preference characteristics of different age groups,Finally, based on this, the optimization strategy of pedestrian environment for living streets is proposed in line with the landscape preference of street users. The results show that:(1)Different age groups have significant differences in cognition of the importance of diversity, convenience, sense of belonging, safety and comfort;(2)Different landscape components have different effects on the same landscape preference factor: sidewalk width and environmental familiarity have different effects on the accessibility factor, and the importance of environmental familiarity is greater than that of sidewalk width.Seat facility density, green visibility, and environmental identification all affect the belonging index, and the degree of influence is seat facility density, environmental identification, green visibility in descending order. The density of vehicles occupying the pavement, the density of lighting facilities and the pavement quality all affect the safety index, and the importance degree is the cleanliness of the ground, the density of lighting facilities and the preference density of vehicles occupying the pavement in descending order.Store density and green visual ratio affect the comfort index together, and green visual ratio is more important than store density;(3)The impact of landscape elements on the landscape preference index of different age groups: when the sidewalk width is more than 7m,the landscape preference index of the youth group shows a downward trend; When the density of social places exceeded 0.75/100 meters, the landscape preference index of middle-aged group decreased. The landscape preference index of the elderly group also reached the highest point when the pavement quality evaluation was as high as 4.2.
