Research On The Application Of Stone In The Design Of Vernacular Architecture

The application of local materials(stone,wood,bamboo,etc.)in architecture has a long history.Its construction mode and traditional technology express the regional characteristics of different regions.However,with the impact of contemporary globalization,the emergence of modern new materials and new construction technologies has gradually replaced the traditional local materials and traditional processes used by people.Stone is a traditional local material different from other local materials.It has the characteristics of environmental protection,fire prevention and durability.It can reflect the characteristics of local materials and the regional architectural cultural characteristics.In the design of new local architecture,fully excavating the characteristics of this material and deeply expanding it in combination with contemporary architectural technology has a good development prospect.Under the strong promotion of the National Rural Revitalization policy,rural construction industry and tourism have made great progress.With the involvement of contemporary architects in the countryside,they reinterpret the local architecture and improve the traditional technology of materials,creating many new local architecture with unique regional characteristics.New vernacular architecture is inspired by traditional vernacular architecture and a modern interpretation of traditional vernacular dialect.The rapid development of new rural architecture has played an important role in the overall improvement of China’s rural appearance,and many excellent theoretical research results and wonderful design works have emerged.Aiming at the re excavation of the value of stone in local architecture,combined with design practice,this study explores the possibility and design strategy of stone application in new local design,provides certain theoretical results for contemporary new local architectural design and local material application research,and explores the specific methods and methods of stone application in new local design.Taking Xi Jingyu village,Ji County,Tian Jin as the project base,this paper discusses the aesthetic value and material application mode of stone in new local design from the aspects of building wall,courtyard wall,courtyard pavement,sketch decoration design and material masonry mode,and summarizes its application method and regional culture expression strategy in the context of the new era.
