Research On The Design Of Wuxi Rural Architecture Based On The Theory Of Vernacular Memory

Since 2019,Wuxi Municipal Government has actively carried out rural housing construction in response to the "rural housing pilot work" put forward by the central government,and issued a series of policies to create a large number of "characteristic rural villages" and "beautiful villages" demonstration villages.In the process of adapting to the modernization of agriculture and rural areas,the design method of renewal and renovation of rural buildings still needs to be further explored.This paper takes the rural architectural modeling in Wuxi as the research object,and obtains the relevant situation of the current situation of rural architectural modeling in Wuxi through on-the-spot investigation of 22 sample villages,visiting investigation and data collection.and the use of literature collection,classified research and analysis and induction and other methods.Rural architectural modeling is the main research content of this paper,on the premise of summarizing the relevant construction background,construction development process and overall development trend of rural architecture in Wuxi.This paper classifies and analyzes the current situation of rural architecture in Wuxi from the aspects of construction mode,spatial organization characteristics and construction methods,and summarizes the characteristics of rural architectural modeling from four aspects:settlement space,architectural space group,single architectural space and architectural form.And on this basis,it summarizes the four problems of rural architectural design: the lack of differences in the overall layout of the building;the lack of adaptability of the single layout of the building;the lack of regional characteristics of the architectural style;and the single form of architectural connotation.Taking the local memory theory as a starting point,this paper studies the rural architecture in Wuxi and concludes that the rural architecture has the characteristics of collectivity,continuity and selectivity.Based on the local memory theory,this paper puts forward the local memory reconstruction design method of the form and space of Wuxi rural architecture: the design of architectural form is from three aspects: the shaping of style and features,the collective construction of images,and the expression of local memory of form.through examples to illustrate the specific design contents and methods.The design of the architectural space annotates the locality of the settlement space and the protection continuation of the local memory from the macro level,and expresses the inheritance of the local memory according to the characteristics of the architectural space group at the meso level.this paper expounds the development of local memory from the specific design of architectural single space from the micro level.Finally,we choose Qifangqiao Village,Hongshan Street,Wuxi City as the object of design practice,understand the policy planning through online research,analyze the current situation of Qifangqiao village architecture combined with actual investigation,and implement it into design practice according to the above design methods.Through the research of this paper,I hope it can provide some reference and inspiration for the rural housing construction in Wuxi.
