As an important bulk cargo transshipment center in Northeast China,Dalian Bay Port is the logistics transit base of my country’s Anshan Iron and Steel Group and Benxi Iron and Steel Group, and plays a key role in China’s steel supply pattern. In the peak season of steel demand, steel freight trains in the direction of Lingshan and Benxi arrive at Jinzhou Station.Due to the uncoordinated collection and distribution capacity of Dalian Bay Port and the relatively low unloading capacity of Dalian Bay Port, the trains assembled to the full axle in the train and dispatch yard of Jinzhou Station could not be sent to the port area, and they stayed in the train and dispatch yard for a long time to form station storage. With the accumulation of vehicles in the station, when the threshold of its capacity is exceeded, the collection and distribution system will be seriously blocked. Therefore, operation managers urgently need to grasp the threshold of the station’s vehicle storage capacity,so as to predict the transportation status of the collection and distribution system and take corresponding countermeasures in advance when the traffic flow is concentrated. Therefore, this paper adopts the method of computer simulation to study the influence of the collection and distribution capacity of Dalian Bay Port on the station storage under the different arrival conditions of steel freight trains. The main work includes:(1)This paper introduces the relevant concepts and basic theories of the collection and distribution system of Dalian Bay Port, and focuses on the analysis of the system components, infrastructure, and transportation organization and operation process. The impact of car storage(2)The inter-arrival time of traffic flow in Lingshan and Benxi directions and the size of the vehicle group are fitted and distributed, and the corresponding distribution type is selected according to the fitting results to provide the driving source for the simulation model.(3)By analyzing and refining the transportation organization operation of Dalian Bay Port’s collection and distribution system, the technical operations involved in the system are abstracted into simulation logic, and reasonable assumptions and simplifications are made.Based on the Any Logic simulation platform, the discrete event simulation method is used to establish a model of the collection and distribution system of Dalian Bay Port to simulate the transportation process of steel cargo trains in the collection and distribution system of Dalian Bay Port, and to analyze the possible problems and weak links in the system.(4)Firstly,based on the idea of successive approximation,a single-factor variation experiment is designed to explore the threshold of the number of cars stored at the station;secondly, under the constraint of the threshold of the station storage, the influence of the coordination degree of the capacity of the distribution system on the car storage at the station is further explored;finally, the train is selected. In the intensive time period,by changing the resource allocation of loading and unloading teams in the port area, the unloading capacity of the Dalian Bay port area is optimized,so as to improve the coordination of the collection and distribution capacity and reduce the number of vehicles stored at the station, and put forward corresponding improvement suggestions.
