Marshalling station is the most concentrated place of railway technical equipment and technical operation,and also the core component of railway hub.The development of marshalling station capacity directly affects the transport efficiency and quality of railway hub and even railway network.Wuhu East Station is located in the middle throat of the East China second channel of the Yangtze River Delta regional railway network.It is also the core marshalling station of Wuhu Hub and plays an important role in the Yangtze River Delta regional railway network.This paper analyzes the factors affecting the capacity of marshalling station,and studies the capacity coordination among subsystems of marshalling station under the condition of unbalanced arrival traffic flow,aiming at the current situation of the influence of unbalanced arrival traffic flow on the operation of marshalling station.The paper first introduces the layout and equipment of marshalling station,expounds the capacity of marshalling station and its influencing factors,analyzes the causes of unbalanced traffic flow,organization process and its influence on the operation of marshalling station.Based on queuing theory,the marshalling station is regarded as a complex series queuing service system,which is further decomposed into three queuing service sub-systems,namely arrival,marshalling and departure.The concept of system coordination is introduced and the system coordination degree of marshalling station based on coupling coordination degree model is proposed.The paper takes Wuhu East Marshalling Station as the research object to introduce the station overview and analyzes the current situation of transportation organization of Wuhu East Station.In this paper,the continuous train arrival data of Wuhu East Station within a certain period were sampled and collected.After sorting,grouping and feature analysis of the data and drawing the frequency distribution histogram,the distribution hypothesis and distribution fitting test were carried out for the train arrival rules of Wuhu East Station,which verified that the train arrival rules of Wuhu East Station obey the second-order mixed Erlang distribution.The paper then calculates the capacity of Wuhu East Station’s arriving,marshalling and departure subsystems and the carrying capacity of the connecting section,and analyzes the system’s static capacity coordination and dynamic capacity load.By determining the coordination evaluation index system of the Wuhu East Station system,using the coupling coordination degree model,quantitatively calculating the coordination degree of the Wuhu East Station system capacity,and determining the bottleneck links of the system capacity.At the end of the paper,based on the above analysis and calculation results,starting with the equipment and facilities configuration and technical operation organization,from the three aspects of the arrival subsystem,the marshalling subsystem and the departure subsystem,several measures are proposed to improve the weak links of the coordination degree of the Wuhu East Station system and optimize the system capacity of the Wuhu East Station,which has certain practical significance for improving the efficiency of the transportation organization of the Wuhu East Station.
