Research On Foreign Exchange Risk Management Of Z Shipbuilding Company

With the globalization of the world economy,the Chinese government actively implements the "going out" strategy,advocates high-level reform and opening up,further increases the degree of opening up,and promotes the internationalization of the RMB to actively integrate into the world economy.As an export-oriented industry,China’s shipbuilding industry actively participates in international market competition.However,single-ship construction contracts are usually as high as tens of millions of dollars and foreign exchange is collected in batches within two to three years according to the construction progress.The unique industry characteristics cause itself to face huge foreign exchange risks.How to deal with foreign exchange risks and prevent the loss of economic benefits caused by exchange rate fluctuations is of vital importance to it.This paper takes Z Shipbuilding Company as an example.Through the analysis of the company’s foreign exchange scale,foreign exchange risk management organization and management process,this paper is to make readers understand the foreign exchange risks faced by Z Shipbuilding Company.The research found that Z Shipbuilding Company’s foreign exchange risk management is insufficient,including foreign exchange risk management,incomplete organization,imperfect system,inadequate risk prevention,and imperfect risk assessment.In this regard,this paper puts forward optimization suggestions: further improve the company’s foreign exchange risk management organizational structure,establish a complete foreign exchange risk management process,improve capital coordination,improve the performance appraisal mechanism and choose effective foreign exchange hedging tools.In order to ensure the implementation of these three suggestions,this article proposes safeguards,including strengthening the construction of the company’s foreign exchange talent team,integrating foreign exchange risk management into the construction of corporate culture,strengthening the construction of foreign exchange risk management systems,and using data platform to provide data support and implementing effective financial management methods.Case analysis and literature research methods are used to study the foreign exchange risk management of Z Shipbuilding Company.By building a suitable foreign exchange risk management system for Z shipbuilding company,it can reduce foreign exchange losses in response to foreign exchange risks.As a model of the domestic shipbuilding industry,Z Shipbuilding Company’s foreign exchange risk management research results have been extended to the entire shipbuilding industry,In this way,domestic shipbuilding industry will ensure the safety of corporate foreign exchange funds and achieve healthy corporate growth in the fiercely competitive international relationship.It is of reference significance to promote the development of the industry.
