| In recent years,with the progress of social development,people’s economic level gradually improved,the proportion of private car travel increased year by year,the current situation of mixed traffic flow more and more serious,the rapid growth of motor vehicle ownership.The mixed traffic flow has become one of the typical features of China’s roads,and the resulting traffic conflicts have become more and more serious.In the mixed traffic flow,the proportion of walking travel mode will become higher and higher.In signal-controlled intersections,the signal timing scheme of pedestrian traffic flow is the same as that of motor vehicles in the same direction,so the main conflict object of pedestrian traffic flow in crosswalks is right-turning motor vehicles.A systematic and comprehensive study of human-machine conflict characteristics,and based on this,the intersection canalization and signal timing scheme design,to reduce intersection traffic conflict,improve operational efficiency and safety,has great theoretical and practical significance It is of great theoretical and practical significance to reduce intersection traffic conflicts and improve operational efficiency and safety.First,this paper summarizes the current status of domestic and international research and determines the research content and technical route.Based on the actual survey data of Comrade Street-Freedom Avenue in Changchun,the arrival characteristics and speed characteristics of right-turning motor vehicles as well as the behavioral characteristics and psychological characteristics of pedestrians crossing the street were analyzed respectively.The critical gap for right-turning motor vehicles to cross the pedestrian group was 4.5s,and the critical time for pedestrians to cross the pedestrian group was 9.5s and the critical length of the crosswalk was 17.8m by using statistical software to analyze the pedestrian crossing speed.Then,using the hierarchical analysis method,combined with the traffic conflict theory,a three-level evaluation system was established with the influencing factors of setting right-turn-only phases as the target level,and the weights of each evaluation index were analyzed and calculated.The results show that the conflict rate between right-turning motor vehicles and pedestrians is the main reason that affects the setting of right-turn-only phase or not.The VISSIM software is used to calculate that when the conflict rate between right-turning vehicles and pedestrians reaches more than 60%,additional right-turn-specific phases are needed to alleviate the conflict.Finally,the right-turning motor vehicle signal timing scheme is optimized based on the conflict mechanism between right-turning motor vehicles and pedestrians.During the hours when the pedestrian population crosses the street at saturation,a noturn duration is set for right-turning motor vehicles.The signal timing scheme is also evaluated by using delay as the evaluation index of the rationality of the signal timing scheme. |
