Human civilization is inseparable from water, and the development history of cities is a history of continuous evolution of the relationship with rivers and lakes.Throughout the preQin,Qin and Han dynasties, the relationship between the water environment and people, from the Neolithic Age to living by water,to the Bronze Age(Xia,Shang and Zhou dynasties),in order to develop agriculture and meet the needs of the city’s own development, people began to actively transform water. With the continuous progress of civilization, the force exerted by people on the natural water system has gradually increased, and the ability to control water has reached its peak in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period and even the Qin and Han Dynasties. The use of water is even more diversified.Vigorously build water conservancy and water transportation networks. The ability to use water inside the city is getting stronger and stronger.A complete urban drainage system has been formed. It can be said that the pre-Qin,Qin and Han dynasties dominated the history of urban development in my country It has an important historical position and is also the origin of the water-friendly construction of cities in my country.Today,my country’s cities are developing rapidly, but at the same time, more and more urban problems are exposed, and the contradiction between cities and people is becoming more and more intense.Faced with such practical problems, more and more scholars have begun to pay attention to the construction of ancient cities suitable for water and interpret Chinese traditions.Cultural connotation, excavate the human settlement philosophy contained in it,summarize the rich experience of water-friendly construction of ancient Chinese cities, and provide ancient wisdom for modern urban construction. The Hong-Gou water system area is located in the lower reaches of the Yellow River, between the Yellow River and Huaihe River. The camp city in the area has a long history. As a place for early human activities in my country, cities were frequently built in the pre-Qin,Qin and Han dynasties, and there were many cities. The early urban development was constrained by the flooding of the Yellow River and other natural rivers.During the Warring States Period, the construction of the gullies, the stability of the regional hydrological environment and the formation of the water system network, the vigorous development of cities and towns along the line, and the emergence of commercial cities. As the gathering area of ??early cities, the gap water system area has condensed unique water-friendly construction wisdom in the long-term game with the water system. With the help of Arc GIS software technology, this paper constructs the historical information database of the chasm water system area, and uses its spatial analysis technology to quantify and visualize the water suitable construction of cities along the chasm water system. The specific process is as follows: firstly, collect the current geographical data, historical hydrological data and other natural environment information of the study area, extract the water system in the area, obtain a complete regional water system network, and complete the translation of natural environment information;Secondly, through the archaeological data and ancient books such as the atlas of Chinese cultural relics, extract the basic information of the city sites in the gap water system area, screen and sort out the collected basic data, formulate the classification standards of cities in different periods, stage and grade the city information, get the final city information from the Neolithic to the Qin and Han Dynasties in the gap water system area, and complete the translation of social and cultural information. Finally, sort out the specific archaeological excavation report and relevant research of individual cities, extract the city wall, moat, city gate, site type and other city information, superimpose the current geographic data with alos 12.5m accuracy, use Arc Map and Arc Scene software to translate the city information in plane and threedimensional, and build the final historical information database of regional cities with divide water system through the joint translation of regional cities and individual cities.Under the changes of natural geographical environment and hydrological environment in the gap water system area, the relationship between cities and water system is taken as the core and discussed.Using the density analysis, spatial analysis and other analysis techniques and methods of Arc GIS,the research time is divided into five periods to comprehensively study the water suitable development of cities in five different historical stages in the pre-Qin,Qin and Han Dynasties. At the same time,it combs the water system changes before and after the formation of the divide water system network in the region, the distribution of Hu-Ze ponds and the change process of water environment such as artificial canals,On this basis, under the dual circumstances of natural water system environment change and artificial intervention in water, this paper focuses on the regional urban water relationship in the preQin,Qin and Han Dynasties and compares and analyzes the urban water distribution relationship in different sub regions,so as to clarify the development process of water suitable construction of cities along the divide water system. The development of cities along the line is closely related to the change of water environment. Before the comprehensive embankment construction of the Yellow River in the Warring States period and people’s active intervention in water, the Yellow River was flooded frequently and the regional hydrological environment was unstable. Most of the cities were distributed on secondary platforms, but they still kept a certain distance from water; After the embankment was built, the Yellow River was contained and the regional hydrological environment tended to be stable. At the same time, people’s ability to transform water became stronger and stronger, and a large number of water conservancy projects were built. With this, the city has developed rapidly, and the relationship between urban water and urban water has also changed from actively avoiding water to urban water symbiosis.Different sub regions also show their own characteristics due to different hydrological environment.Ru-Ying River Basin has become the region with the highest degree of development because of its stable water environment and the construction of artificial ponds in the Qin and Han Dynasties; The capital city of the early Shang Dynasty was bred in the Suo-Xu River Basin under the staggered environment of rivers and lakes; After the construction of canals in the chasm River Basin, the city has been greatly developed; The HeJi river basin is deeply affected by the flood of the Yellow River, forming a unique Gu-Dui site; The distribution of cities in Si River basin shows two-level differentiation.
