With the development of weighing technology and measuring length technology,online automatic weighing and measuring length of products had needed in industrial production lines.Cylindrical ingot as the manufacturing raw material of train wheels,the first process of wheel manufacturing is to weigh and measure the length,to obtain the weight and extent of each cylindrical ingot,and then transfer the measured data to MES system,which is convenient for the subsequent sawing process to determine the number of pieces of each cylindrical ingot.Therefore,the design of a cylindrical ingot weighing and length measuring device with high measurement accuracy and high efficiency has excellent practicability.According to the target demand of cylindrical ingot weighing and measuring length,this paper researched and designed a cylindrical ingot weighing and measuring device.A pair of laser-ranging sensors installed in opposite directions had used to measure the cylindrical ingots at the front to rear ends,and the calibration method of relating parameter values is given based on the length measurement principle.Four weighing modules had used to weigh the cylindrical ingots.Then use the chain to pull the trolley to move,which realizes fast,accurate,high-precision online measurement of cylindrical ingots.The overall design of a weighing and measuring device for cylindrical ingot had put forward in this paper,the force and energy parameters of the swing cylinder,laser ranging sensor,weighing module,and other main components are calculated and selected.Creo4.0software had used for 3D modeling of weighing length measuring devices,and Ansys Workbench software had used for finite element analysis of the frame.The results show that the stiffness and strength of the frame meet the requirements,which it had subjected to the impact load produced by loading cylindrical ingot with a maximum weight of 7 tons.According to the length measuring principle,a calibration scheme had proposed,and the calibration method had verified by using Creo4.0 software.On this basis,the simulation analysis had carried out by using Creo4.0 software,and the correctness of the calibration formula given in the length measuring principle is verified by comparing the results of the ingot length obtained by the calculation formula with the known length.The error factors in the measuring device are analyzed,understanding the influence of each error factor on the measuring accuracy of steel ingot.Through the error analysis,the measuring accuracy of the measuring device can meet the requirements of enterprises.
