Abstract/Summary:
Demand for student flats is rising in the UK as more and more students choose to live in student flats during their time at university.There are now one million,forty thousand UK students studying at universities outside the UK,an increase of 56% between 2005 and 2017,while the number of international students has risen by 70% over the same period.The need for energy efficiency in campus buildings has become so strong that 18 universities have formed the Higher Education Partnership for Sustainability(Heps),the purpose is to take the university as the production research and the study base in the sustainable development movement,and as the main industry to promote its development.The research on passive energy-saving technology and reconstruction of foreign university student apartment is of great significance to the promotion of energy-saving construction of university apartment in similar climate region in China.In this paper,Sheffield student housing in the United Kingdom as the research object,the use of real data statistics and computer simulation methods,explore the possibility of passive energy-saving technology in local student apartments and design strategies.This paper mainly studies the following aspects:1.Investigate the current situation of local student apartment building,and analyze the structure and design characteristics of student apartment building which is different from other climate environment in the process of building.2.Study the design documents of passive energy-saving of local buildings,evaluate the energy consumption in actual operation,and screen the important parameters of passive energysaving which affect the local climate environment.3.Analyze the possibility of passive energy-saving technology which is suitable for local climate environment,according to the important parameter of passive energy-saving,put forward the energy-saving strategy which is suitable for student apartment building.4.Draw up the energy consumption simulation process,set up the energy consumption model of student apartment,simulate the current energy consumption.Combined with the passive energy-saving strategy of Sheffield student apartment,this paper puts forward a scheme of improving and optimizing the envelope structure,and compares it with the present energy consumption to prove the application value of the optimized scheme.By looking at the distribution of energy consumption in Sheffield’s Quantitative analysis,this paper summarizes the passive energy-saving strategies of apartment buildings in cold climate from the angles of shading,window-wall ratio and envelope structure.1.According to the annual Sunshine Distribution,the best thermal orientation of local buildings is from south to south to west by 15 degrees,and the gable of the building is perpendicular to it,while the unfavorable orientation is from west to east by North.2.The wall body pays attention to the heat preservation performance,on the basis of selecting the composite wall structure,selecting the suitable heat preservation and heat insulation material becomes the important part of the wall body thermal performance,after the simulation analysis,the 310 mm thick SIP sandwich panel can effectively reduce the building energy consumption.3.The shading coefficient is the penetration degree of the shading element to the solar radiation.Small shading coefficient,block more solar radiation,can get better shading effect.The length of the actual sunshade is determined by the height angle difference between winter and summer,which can reduce the heat gain in summer without affecting the sunshine in winter,the 12-piece sunshade louvers with window height of 1/2 length meet the above requirements.4.The increase of the ratio of window to wall and the glass material has an important influence on achieving the goal of reducing heat loss while gaining heat,at the same time,the energy consumption can be effectively reduced by controlling the east-west window-wall ratio from 20% to 17%.On the other hand,using double-layer hollow 6mm Low-E glass can also effectively reduce building energy consumption.The result is an energy intensity reduction of 68(kwh/m2/year)for passive energy saving.It provides reference and reference for energy-saving design in similar climate environment areas in the future.
