| Advocated by the concept of cultural self-confidence,more and more scholars began to pay attention to Chinese classical gardens,and tried to use them in the practice of modern garden design.However,there are some phenomena in modern city parks that simply imitate classical gardens and are stiff and "retro".As the first person to study Chinese gardens in modern times,Mr.Tong Jun has the foundation of scholars’ Chinese studies,the broad vision of Chinese and foreign researchers and the professional quality of architects.The garden management method based on "three realms of gardening" and "elements of gardening" and the concept of "urban mountains" mentioned in his garden research are of great guiding significance to the modern translation practice of classical gardens.In order to combine the research results of Mr.Tong Jun’s garden theory fully,with give play to the guiding role of Mr.Tong Jun’s research results in practical design,and avoid adopting the form of blindly "retro" to classical gardens in modern garden design.This paper is based on the study of Mr.Tong Jun’s life and works,establishes his three identities,and classifies his works into three perspectives: literati perspective,international perspective and architect perspective.On this basis,uses the research methods of literature research,crossstudy,case analysis,field investigation and project practice to study Mr.Tong Jun’s garden theory achievements and garden theory practice,so as to achieve the guidance of Mr.Tong Jun’s garden theory in "Xuchang city Baling River Park Design".Firstly,from the analysis of Mr.Tong Jun’s identity and his works,through the study of painting theory and garden theory from the perspective of Mr.Tong Jun’s literati,the concept of Mr.Tong Jun’s gardening is defined as the concept of "urban mountains and forests" that expresses "landscape-poetry and painting" by means of dynamic landscape construction;Through Mr.Tong Jun’s works from an international perspective as a Chinese and foreign scholar,this paper analyzes the similarities between the Sharawadgi-style garden features described in his works,and the "Three Realms of Gardening" in Jiangnan gardens,to proves that the proposal of "Three Realms of Gardening" is based on the results obtained by Mr.Tong Jun’s comprehensive research,defines "Three Realms of Gardening" as a spatial method.Through the architectural writings from the architect’s perspective,this paper summarizes the principle of "making the past serve the present" in China’s classical architectural elements,that is,"material-form-function" is consistent,and draws lessons from it in the gardening elements.This paper discusses the relationship between "idea-reason and law" and forms the theoretical system of Mr.Tong Jun’s garden with "idea-reason and law".Secondly,selectes the Jiangnan gardens which involved in Mr.Tong Jun’s garden research and the typical garden works which translated from ancient times to modern times,as relevant cases to study,and the space and elements are analyzed by Mr.Tong Jun’s garden theory,drawing lessons from the practice of "idea-reason" in gardens.Finally,this study takes " Xuchang City Baling River Park " as a design practice project to introduce Mr.Tong Jun’s garden theory and explores the practicality of his garden theory.On the basis of full investigation of the design site,this paper analyzes the crowd demand and site status,combines with urban natural resources and cultural resources,takes the cultural demand,aesthetic demand,functional demand and ecological requirements of urban parks as general principles,and combines with Mr.Tong Jun’s garden theory to carry out practical design from three aspects: overall space management,node space management and gardening elements management,and summarizes the practical application methods of Mr.Tong Jun’s garden theory in modern park design.The analysis and profound study of Mr.Tong Jun’s academic theory,combines with practical discussion,has profound guiding significance for the research and exploration of the Chinese classical gardens’ modern translation. |
