China has entered an aging society for more than two decades, and according to professional predictions, the aging population will reach its peak by 2050.At this stage,a series of problems brought by the aging population have become the focus of national and social attention.Among the problems brought about by the aging population, the medical problems of the elderly are particularly important. This project takes the outpatient infusion scene of the elderly as the research background, and explores the influence of optimizing the experience points of the elderly patients during the infusion process on the positive and negative emotional points of the elderly patients under the positive design theory,so as to achieve the goal of enhancing the experience of the elderly patients during the infusion process.Firstly, this project elaborates the current research status of medical assistive products at home and abroad, summarizes and analyzes the classification of products in the medical field, and determines the next research direction as infusion assistive products in the medical assistive products.Secondly, through the study of the literature on medical products for the elderly,we summarized and analyzed that the active design theory is more consistent with the research direction of this thesis.Through an in-depth study of positive design theory and the characteristics of the elderly, and combined with preliminary research and analysis of outpatient infusion scenarios for the elderly, the initial emotional and demand points of elderly patients were summarized.Then,in-depth research was conducted, and on the basis of analyzing the results of the in-depth research, the preliminary inducted emotional points and need points were justified and refined. The need points were screened using hierarchical analysis, and the screened out need points were transformed into design points. And a design framework based on user emotions was established. Finally, the design of the solution was carried out.The design solution included infusion chair, infusion rack, thermostat, prompter, monitor and sweeper. The design practice was validated by the designer’s evaluation, and the design practice was evaluated by the five elements of user experience. In summary, this research in positive design theory returns to its roots and places great emphasis on both positive and negative experiences. The study increases the shutdown loop for elderly patients in the infusion process through the design of infusion chairs for the elderly in the outpatient infusion scenario, enhances the positive emotional points and eliminates or diminishes the negative emotional points through design optimization to achieve the goal of enhancing the overall experience of elderly patients.
