The Revitalize Of Industry Heritage By The "Spirit Of Place"

This paper takes the Tianfu Coal Mine in Beibei District of Chongqing as the research object,and guides in the light of the preservation of “spirit of place ”.The aims of the paper is exploring activation strategies to tally with characteristics of the Tianfu coal mine and extricate itself from difficult position at present.At the same time,it provides some reference for the same type of site.Based on the above content,this paper is mainly composed of the following three parts:First,the author analyzes the theory of "spirit of place".This part clarifies the difference between architecture and the "spirit of place" in the heritage sites.The conclude is that "spirit of place" in the heritage sites makes the protection of industrial heritage could break through the bondage of the vision of "nation-state" and jump out of the single category of architectural protection in scope.Therefore,the "place spirit" of the heritage site is more advantageous to guide the protection of industrial heritage.Secondly,the author completes the constitution of "spirit of place" in Tianfu coal mine.This part revolves around the history and present situation of Tianfu coal mine,The material and spiritual elements of Tianfu "spirit of place" are collected from Data gathering,fieldwork,dictation.At present,the material elements form three heritage areas within the scope of research,while the spiritual elements mainly exist in historical archives and literature records.From the status quo,elements using is not sufficient.Finally,the author puts forward the means of vitality reconstruction around Tianfu coal mine "place spirit".The author believes that the lack of understanding of heritage value by relevant stakeholders makes it difficult for the "spirit of place" of heritage sites to be expressed continuously,and affects the correct reading of "spirit of place",thus forming the current practical dilemma.Based on the heritage value deposited in the essence of "spirit of place" in heritage sites,and combined with the actual situation,the author suggests:(1)to solve the problem of "spirit of place" by "fostering the concept of heritage","developing forum" and "forming laws and policies";(2)through the "deepening the current activation method" and "interdisciplinary multidisciplinary cooperation" and "activation project integration related interest groups" read about "place spirit" perspective.
