Because of its positioning,aesthetic education of science and technology shows remarkable industry characteristics,showing a unique role different from other majors.It plays an important role in strengthening students’ professional thinking ability and innovation consciousness,facilitating the development and perfection of students’ personality,cultivating compound talents and enhancing employment competitiveness.It is found that the aesthetic education of science and engineering majors has achieved certain results.The public aesthetic education courses are managed by the credit system,aesthetic education practice activities are carried out vigorously,and the material environment construction is gradually improved.However,entering the new era,whether the transformation of talents in social demand is accelerated,or the high quality development of higher education is taking new steps,the aesthetic education of undergraduate students majoring in science and technology is facing not only opportunities but also many new challenges.Although aesthetic education for undergraduate students of science and technology majors has achieved a series of achievements,there are still some problems to be solved,which are not conducive to the sustainable development of aesthetic education for undergraduate students of science and technology majors and the realization of the goal of talent training.Based on the theory of all-round human development of Marxism,Haken’s synergetics theory and multiple intelligences theory,this paper uses literature research method,comparative research method,investigation method and induction method to analyze related concepts,related theories,main characteristics and important functions of strengthening aesthetic education for undergraduates majoring in science and technology.To investigate the construction status of aesthetic education for undergraduate students majoring in science and technology,and summarize the main problems,which are reflected in the following five aspects: the deviation of aesthetic education concept,the lack of aesthetic education courses,the weakness of aesthetic education teachers,the lack of investment in aesthetic education and the evaluation system of aesthetic education to be improved.In view of the main problems,the improvement strategies are put forward accordingly.Colleges and universities of science and engineering majors can set up the correct concept of aesthetic education,innovate the teaching of aesthetic education in colleges and universities,promote the project of optimizing the teaching staff of aesthetic education,strengthen the project of aesthetic education work,and establish and perfect the evaluation system of aesthetic education from the perspectives of the concept,curriculum,teachers,security,evaluation and so on.Create an aesthetic education pattern with distinctive features and solidified achievements,and realize the sustainable development of aesthetic education for undergraduates majoring in science and technology.
