Among various maritime search platforms,airborne platforms have the advantages of high speed,wide search range and high mobility.Because helicopters have the characteristics of vertical take-off and landing and air hovering,they are less dependent on runways and are most suitable for dipping sonar,which is widely used in aerial search.In this context,this paper conducts a modeling study on the mission planning process of helicopter detection using dipping sonar.The main work of this paper is as follows:(1)Analyzed the maneuvering characteristics of underwater targets and helicopters as well as the influence of environmental factors on the platform’s sortie capability,summarized the characteristics of the use of dipping sonar and typical search tactics;established an active sonar detection distance model,and simulated and analyzed the influence of the marine environment on the sonar detection distance.(2)In view of the tactical flight characteristics of helicopter detection using dipping sonar and the influence of wind speed and direction,the helicopter search route model and search time calculation model based on discrete points were constructed;a typical dipping sonar check search model was established;in view of the influence of wind on the search route,the traditional rectangular sea search model was optimized and a rectangular sea search model based on wind planning was established,and simulation experiments and analysis were conducted.(3)Combining the intelligence information and the uncertainty of target motion,four types of target motion models and search probability simulation calculation methods were established,and a typical dipping sonar on-call search model was built on this basis,and then the influence of target speed,target position scatter,hoist interval coefficient,target heading scatter and ocean environment on the on-call search effectiveness was simulated and analyzed;for the influence of on-call time on search effectiveness,the first detection point location was optimized,and the first detection point location calculation model based on-call time planning was established,and simulation experiments and analysis were conducted.(4)Based on the above-mentioned model establishment,design and development of the helicopter dipping sonar detection mission planning software,so as to integrate,verify and visualize the models constructed in this paper.The software provides the required models,platforms and means to scientifically and objectively analyze the impact of factors such as ocean environment,search equipment performance and search tactical applications on the search mission and give full play to the search effectiveness of helicopters.
