Light steel structure houses are widely used abroad for low-rise energy-saving houses,which have better seismic and wind resistance,heat insulation and thermal insulation properties.With the continuous research and maturity of technical measures in China,the economic and social benefits brought by them are more and more advantageous compared with the traditional brick and concrete structures.Light steel structure houses are of great significance to change the traditional rural houses with poor quality and comfort,and to promote the transformation and upgrading of China’s construction industry,and have a broad application prospect in China.The paper focuses on the problem of too many and too large openings in houses caused by the psychology of farmers’ pursuit of architectural grandeur,which leads to the reduction of structural seismic performance in the current rural residential construction market where light steel structure is mainly applied,and conducts a numerical simulation study focusing on the seismic performance of light steel houses with different hole width rates under rare earthquake conditions,with the main research contents and conclusions as follows.(1)The equivalent support model of the wall was used to establish the overall model of the existing test house and carried out modal analysis.Compared with the existing shaking table test results,the natural vibration period,mode of vibration and mass participation coefficient of the finite element model were in good agreement with the test results,which verified the effectiveness of the modeling method.(2)A finite element seismic analysis of two-story light steel structure house based on the hole width rate was conducted.The wall is the main lateral force resisting system of the structure,which is crucial to the seismic resistance of the structure.The research program sets six levels of wall hole width rate,three seismic waves of El Centro wave,Taft wave and Shanghai artificial wave,two main directions of seismic wave direction and two intensity levels of seismic wave intensity,and the limiting value of hole width rate of the light steel structure house under 7 degree and 8 degree rare conditions are studied by using nonlinear time history analysis.The conclusions were obtained that the hole width rate limits of two-story houses in the seismic protection areas of 7 and 8degrees were 58.2% and 49.4%.(3)The finite element seismic analysis of three-story light steel structure house based on the hole width rate was carried out,and the load settings were the same as those of the two-story house.The conclusions were obtained that the hole width rate limits for the three-story house were 31.8% and 22.7%.In response to the analysis result that the bottom layer is the structurally weak layer obtained from the finite element analysis of the two-story and three-story houses,the bottom layer wall is strengthened by changing the cladding panel,and the conclusion that the seismic performance of the large hole width rate house can be better improved by using double-sided cladding OSB panel wall for the bottom layer.The paper contains 58 figures,30 tables and 101 references...
