In recent years,China’s bus industry has actively expanded overseas markets by taking the "Belt and Road" initiative as a new development opportunity.In 2021,China proposed a "dual carbon" policy in response to the international carbon neutrality goal,which brought new market demand for new energy buses and brought new vitality and opportunities for transformation and upgrading to the Chinese bus industry.Under the background of intensified competition in the domestic market and the continuous support of the "going out" policy,many Chinese bus companies have sought overseas markets and accelerated the expansion process of the international market.This paper takes Yutong Bus,the leading enterprise of Chinese passenger cars and new energy buses as the main research object,and aims to summarize the international expansion mode and successful experience of Yutong Bus through the research on the path and motivation of Yutong Bus’ s international expansion,so as to provide information for Chinese buses.Enterprises choose international expansion mode to provide reference significance.This paper uses literature research method,case analysis method and comparative analysis method,based on the theme of international expansion of Chinese bus companies,taking the international expansion of Yutong Bus as an example,and based on the theory of internationalization stages,the important stage of the international expansion of Yutong Bus is attributed to the international expansion.There are six stages: exploration stage,breakthrough stage,rooted stage,stable development stage,and post-epidemic stage.Four international expansion modes are summarized by using motivation theory,location selection theory,entry mode theory,and international competitive advantage theory,which are based on industry Technological reverse upgrade,strategy-driven collaboration,complementary resources based on specific advantages,and customized models based on integration and differentiation,and analyze the motivation and applicability of each model.Then,the four modes are compared and analyzed according to the comprehensive decision-making model for overseas market entry,and the differences are summarized.The main innovation point of this paper is to put forward four international expansion models and analyze them from the perspective of comprehensive decision model of overseas market entry.It is hoped that the research of this paper can provide some ideas or help for bus enterprises to choose the path of international expansion and the strategic objectives,entry mode and location selection involved in the process of international expansion,and provide solutions to the problems encountered by enterprises in the stage of international expansion.
