| With the development of cities and the change of people’s way of life, cars have gradually become a popular means of transportation, and people spend more and more time in cars, which makes people put forward higher requirements for car ride comfort, and ride comfort has also become a hot topic for car companies.Car ride comfort is affected by many factors, including wind speed, temperature, humidity and wind buffeting noise inside the car.Among them, wind speed, temperature and humidity can be taken into account by comfort index of human body(CIHB).Therefore, this paper studies the driver’s ride comfort from two aspects of human comfort and wind buffeting noise inside the car.The main research contents include:(1)Firstly,the MIRA standard vehicle model is used for numerical calculation. And the results are compared respectively with the results of HD-2 wind tunnel test of Hunan University and IVK wind tunnel test of University of Stuttgart to verify the validity of the numerical calculation method.(2)The wind speed inside the car of different side-windows openings is numerically calculated. The CIHB near the driver is compared and analyzed under 11 kinds of conditions. In addition, the influence of different vehicle driving speeds(20m/s,22m/s,24m/s,26m/s,28m/s,30m/s)on driver’s comfort is also studied.(3)By comparing the results of the test and simulation, the accuracy of the simulation is verified.(4)According to different flow yaw angles, the numerical calculation of flow velocity inside the car was carried out to further study the influence of crosswind on the driver’s ride comfort. The results show that when the crosswind speed is less than 6m/s,the influence of crosswind on driver’s ride comfort is very small, and when the crosswind speed exceeds 6m/s,the crosswind has a greater impact on the driver’s ride comfort. In addition, the influence of different number and position of passengers on driver’s ride comfort is also studied.(5)The simple carriage’s numerical results of the wind buffeting noise were compared with the results of the Herrick wind tunnel test in Purdue University to verify the validity of the numerical calculation method. Then, the wind buffeting noise of the different left rear window openings and different speeds is calculated. The left rear window opening corresponding to the maximum wind buffeting noise and the speed corresponding to the maximum wind buffeting noise are found. Finally, the noise reduction measures are put forward from the perspective of improving the driver’s ride comfort. |
