Research On Accessibility Design Of Living Spaces For The Elderly

With the deepening of the aging process of China’s population,the proportion of the elderly population is increasing year by year,followed by the elderly pension problem is getting more and more attention from the society.How to provide for the aged and how to spend their old age happily is a realistic problem in front of every old person.The advantages and disadvantages of the living environment of the elderly,the convenience of life and the suitable aging of living facilities is an important link in guaranteeing the quality of life of the elderly in their old age.Most of the elderly in China will choose the mode of home care after quitting their jobs to spend their old age,but often the living environment of the original residence has no longer adapted to the aging body of the elderly,a variety of problems bring trouble to the life of the elderly.It is the most realistic thinking and action for us to face the social problem of aging population to design and transform the living space for the elderly.This paper takes barrier-free design as the breakthrough point and the elderly group as the research object to discuss how barrier-free design is embodied in the living space of the elderly and its future development trend.At the beginning of the paper,the research background of the subject,domestic and foreign research status and so on have done a more detailed introduction;In the second chapter,the relevant theories of barrier-free design are elaborated,from the definition,origin and development of barrier-free design to the application of barrier-free design in residential space.The third chapter analyzes the functional characteristics of the elderly from two aspects of physiology and psychology respectively,laying a foundation for further theoretical discussion of the design below.In the fourth chapter,the basic pension model of the elderly in China and the existing problems of the elderly living space are discussed,and two optimization cases are analyzed to provide theoretical basis for the following.The fifth chapter,which is the focus of the whole paper,focuses on the strategies and key points of barrier-free design of elderly living space,including the theoretical principles of barrier-free design and the application strategies of barrier-free design in various areas of living space;The sixth chapter of the paper is the prospect of the development trend of barrier-free design for the elderly living space,including the development of barrier-free design to the general design direction,the integration and innovation of 5 G technology and barrier-free design,and the wide application of artificial intelligence in the elderly living space.Through the research and exploration of barrier-free design concept in elderly living space,this paper hopes to summarize feasible coping strategies for elderly living space design,enrich theoretical research in this field and provide valuable theoretical reference.
