Times change,cultural thought is still the soul of a country,a nation.With Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,the four words "cultural confidence" frequently appeared in the public’s vision,which is the spiritual power to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.At present,many intangible cultural heritages bearing Chinese traditional civilization are ignored by people and are on the verge of being lost.Among the intangible cultural heritage,Chongqing Liangping New Year wood-block prints,as a Chinese folk art,reflect the folk beliefs of Chongqing people in the past hundred years.However,due to the changes of modern social environment,this art form has gradually faded out of People’s Daily life,and its style and subject matter are difficult to be understood and accepted by the masses.In 2002,Mr.Feng Jicai,chairman of the Chinese Folk Writers and Artists Association,initiated the rescue project of Chinese New Year wood-block prints.After more than ten years of struggle,the Chinese New Year wood-block prints throughout the land have been basically organized.Governments all over the country are also actively holding folk exhibitions of New Year paintings,establishing museums of New Year paintings,and implementing rescue and protection actions of New Year paintings.At present,the exhibition form of New Year paintings museum is mainly traditional static display,ignoring the people-oriented core of intangible cultural heritage.Visitors can only browse through the museum,but they cannot leave a deep impression,which makes the inheritance and protection of New Year paintings difficult.This paper is divided into four chapters to discuss the design of display space of Chongqing Liangping New Year wood-block prints.The first chapter is the introduction.The second chapter describes the history,creation themes and production techniques of Chongqing Liangping New Year wood-block prints.It analyzes its artistic characteristics from three aspects of color,composition,decoration and symbolism,so as to accumulate materials for the subsequent design practice of exhibition space.The third chapter considers the design principles and requirements of chongqing Liangping New Year wood-block prints exhibition space based on modern display design theories and methods,and uses other cases of intangible cultural heritage elements involved in the design of display space for demonstration.The fourth part is based on liangping museum the original pictures of the exhibition hall,analysis,starting from the present situation and the location of the design practice,follow the principle of modern display design theory and combined with related design,in build on the experience of thematic,interactivity,situation of chongqing liangping woodcut New Year pictures display space design and innovation.In the design process,digital technology is used,and the combination of dynamic and static display means is emphasized to create the unique traditional cultural situation of Liangping New Year wood-block prints,and strive to break through the limitations of the display space of Chinese intangible cultural heritage,so as to provide new ideas for the protection and development of traditional New Year prints.
