As the pillar industry of national economy,electric power industry provides electric energy for all fields of national economy,and its development directly affects the development speed of national economy.At present,coal-fired power generation is still the main source of power in China,and more than 80% of the power is provided by steam turbine power plants.The advanced technology of steam turbine has a great impact on the development of the power industry.With the recent national development of new energy,environmental protection and other related directions put forward higher requirements,the power generation situation of thermal power plants is more and more severe.In order to adapt to the current environment,domestic power plants have carried out steam turbine unit transformation.Therefore,it has become a great challenge for China’s power industry to improve the energy efficiency level of coal-fired units and realize energy saving.In this paper,a 600 MW subcritical unit of a thermal power plant in Fujian Province is taken as the research object.In view of the poor economy of the unit and the serious deviation of important indexes such as heat consumption and cylinder efficiency from the design value,the causes of the problems are analyzed and summarized,and the research contents of this paper are given.Firstly,the high,medium and low pressure steam seals of steam turbine are transformed by using the new steam seal technology,and the solid modeling is carried out by CATIA software,and the strength of the new steam seal structure is calculated by using abaqus6.13 software to ensure the strength design requirements.Secondly,in view of the phenomenon of vacuum drop in the operation of the unit for many times,the vacuum system was reformed,and two roots vacuum pumps were added to solve the hidden danger of vacuum drop caused by the cooling water problem of the original vacuum pump unit.Finally,the thermal performance test of the reformed unit is carried out,and the performance comparison and economic analysis are carried out.The analysis results show that after upgrading the original unit,the heat rate is reduced by 12.7 k J /k W.H,and the annual fuel cost can be saved by about 2.727 million yuan.The energy saving effect is remarkable,and the system operation stability is improved.
