Research Of Development Suitability Evaluation Of Expressway Tourism Service Area

With the gradual improvement of China’s highway network and the vigorous development of tourism brought about by the sustained and rapid economic development,it has become a social consensus to promote the integrated development of transportation and tourism.As an important infrastructure of expressways,the service area is a key link and an important platform for the integrated development of transportation,especially expressways and tourism.Improving the tourism function of expressway service facilities and innovating tourism transportation products and services are the important direction for the future development of service areas.Under this background,a new construction mode of expressway service area—tourism service area came into being.Carrying out suitability evaluation and judging whether the service area is suitable for upgrading or constructing into a tourist service area is the key link in the development of tourism service area.The existing research on the tourism service area focuses on the functional positioning and design strategy.The research on the development suitability evaluation of the tourism service area has certain theoretical and practical significance,which can not only enrich the research theory of the service area,but also provide reference for the government departments and relevant operators to formulate policies and development strategies.First of all,select Japan and other provinces to focus on the analysis of tourism service areas,sort out their basic conditions,relying on RMP theory,and initially summarize four factors for the development of tourism service areas,which are tourism resources,market/source conditions,facility conditions,and supports.Furthermore,relying on the case experience of domestic and foreign tourism service areas,national policy documents,relevant standards for tourism resource evaluation,relevant literature and expert interviews,etc.,the Delphi method is used to select the evaluation index,the analytic hierarchy process is used to calculate the index weight,and the comprehensive index method is used to obtain the evaluation standard,then obtain the evaluation system of the development suitability of the expressway tourism service area.Thirdly,it makes an in-depth study on the current situation of tourism and expressway development in Henan Province,preliminarily defines that Henan Province has the basic conditions for developing Expressway tourism service areas,and determines that the evaluation system has great application value in Henan.Finally,select relevant cases for application practice,use the evaluation index system to evaluate the suitability of service area development,and give specific development strategies for service areas.
