Research On The Better Life Space In Historic Towns Based On Participatory Video

As an important carrier of history and culture,in the process of rapid urbanization,the contradiction between its protection and development has become increasingly prominent.How to inherit and carry forward history and culture,protect and utilize traditional features,and meet the indigenous people’s pursuit of a better life,is a key problem to be solved urgently in the practice of conservation and renewal of many historic towns such as Daokou Town.In this study,a "bottom-up" participatory visual method-participatory video method was introduced into the study of historic towns.First of all,through literature review,the application and development of participatory video at home and abroad are sorted out and analyzed,and the technical path of participatory video and its application method in historic towns are sorted out.Under the guidance of the technical path of "preparation stage-implementation stage-analysis stage",the participatory video practice of "the better life space demand of residents in historic towns" with a span of two years is carried out in Daokou Town.Secondly,the collected participatory video data of Daokou Town are sorted and coded,and the photo data are interpreted by qualitative methods to extract the spatial elements that should be "retained and changed".Then,using the grounded theory method,using NVivo software to make qualitative analysis of the interview text data,the paper constructs the need model of Daokou town residents’ better life,and analyzes the demand of Daokou town residents’ better life from the social,economic,cultural,life and ecological aspects,including:(1)On the social level,we demand to improve the efficiency of government policy implementation and create a better social environment;(2)At the economic level,it is necessary to solve the problems of residents’ low spending power and the lack of attractiveness of historic towns,and improve the business distribution of historic towns;(3)At the cultural level,it is necessary to keep material culture and intangible culture,and activate the ancient town culture;(4)In terms of life,it is necessary to solve the problem of inconvenient travel in ancient towns,improve the street environment,perfect public facilities and optimize the living environment;(5)At the ecological level,landscape greening should be optimized to solve the existing environmental pollution problems.Finally,based on the residents’ demand for a better life in Daokou town,the strategies for building a better living space for residents in Daokou town are put forward,including:social development strategy,economic development strategy,cultural protection strategy,comfortable life strategy and eco-friendly strategyFrom the perspective of the aborigines,we can get the residents’ demand for a better living space and put forward the construction strategies,so that the aborigines can become supporters and participants in the protection of historic towns from the residents of historic towns,with a view to providing reference for the protection planning of humanized historic towns that are guaranteed,owned and enjoyed by the people.
