Study On Factors Influencing Airline Network Connectivity Of China’s Transport Airports Based On QCA Method

With the growth of China’s economy and the continuous advancement of economic globalization,the number of passengers in China’s civil aviation transport has increased from2.3 million in 1978 to 660 million in 2019.Air transport is playing an increasingly important role in the economic society and people’s lives.The construction of civil aviation power has become an inherent requirement that China’s civil aviation serves the national strategy in the new era.The National Civil Transport Airport Layout Plan has clarified the new goal of China’s transport airport construction.With the further increase of the construction density of China’s transport airports in the future,the aviation network will become more and more complex,and the connectivity and operational efficiency of the aviation network will also be greatly tested.Therefore,the construction and management of air route network has become an important strategic task for building a civil aviation power,and exploring the influencing factors of the connectivity of air route network is the foundation of the development of air route network.Based on existing studies,it is found that air transport is closely related to external factors such as regional economic development and population factors,and it is worth exploring how external factors such as economic and social factors can improve the efficiency and connectivity of air transport.Based on this,this paper takes 189 airport cities as samples and uses QCA method to analyze the influencing mechanism of airline network connectivity.Study found that gross regional product,output value of tertiary industry,urban per capita disposable income,at the end of the population,total import and export of goods and the number of tourists,none of which can achieve high network connectivity or lead to low network connectivity,and some combinations of these factors are equivalent that can influence network connectivity.QCA analysis results show that the path of the network to realize high connectivity has 5 kinds,summarized as "strong economy","foreign trade leading" and "tourism boosting",the cause of low network connectivity has 6 kinds,summarized as low population,low per capita income and bottleneck of foreign trade development,low per capita income and insufficient tourism demand.Based on the analysis results of ten million level transport airports,it is concluded that the developed service industry and foreign trade industry are key factors in the development of the route network,while underdeveloped import and export and insufficient population are the key reasons for the low connectivity of the route network.
