Research On Joint Selection Behavior Of Air Freight Forwarding Companies Based On Nested Logit Model

With the rapid development of the transportation industry,freight network and international multimodal transportation,the choice of transportation methods tends to be diversified,and the volume of various transportation methods continues to grow.Freight forwarders have more and more options for transportation methods.However,because the freight market is significantly affected by the economic cycle,the phenomenon of industry competition for supply due to the downward economic cycle,collective losses in the industry,and the constant increase in the total supply of goods,but the continuous increase in the volume of various transportation methods has become common.The competition between land transportation and air transportation is particularly prominent.With the rapid development of my country’s airport construction and the expansion of the service scope of the airport,the competition between airports has also transitioned from the source of passengers to the source of goods.When different freight forwarders choose the originating airport,they are often based on Consideration of multiple factors.First of all,this thesis constructs a Logit model based on the theory of utility maximization and probability selection theory,and conducts a simulation analysis on the modeling method and the results of the SP questionnaire.Then,a nested Logit model was constructed on the basis of the Logit model,and simulation analysis was carried out to explore the factors that affect the shipper’s choice of upper-level transportation mode and lower-level choice of departure airport.Then,modeling and simulation are carried out for specific selection scenarios,and an empirical analysis of the actual transportation mode and the joint selection of the departure airport is carried out.Finally,from multiple perspectives,it proposes countermeasures and suggestions for enhancing the influence of air cargo and attracting freight forwarding companies by airports,so as to enhance the competitiveness of air transportation methods and promote the healthy development of regional airports.
