Extended-Range Electric Vehicle(E-REV)is an important branch of new energy vehicle,which has good development prospects.Because of its high efficiency,small size and high reliability,PM machines are often used as integrated starter/ generator(ISG)in compact range extender for electric vehicles.In this paper,a consequent-pole PM integrated starter/ generator for range extender is proposed to solve the problems of high cost and poor induction electromotive force waveform of conventional surface-mounted PM machines for with 18-slot/12-pole.It mainly includes the following contents.By analyzing the pole slot matching theory of fractional slot concentrated winding,the pole pair selection scheme of surface-mounted PM machines with 18-slot and its corresponding winding coefficient and stator topology are obtained.The equivalent magnetic circuit model and finite element analysis model of electromagnetic field of surface-mounted PM machines are established.The influence of pole groove combination on flux leakage,induction electromotive force and harmonic content of PM machine is analyzed.Through the optimization of pole slot matching,the harmonic content of PM machine for range enlarger is reduced.In order to reduce the consumption of rare earth permanent magnets in the PM machines for range extender,a consequent-pole PM machines with 18-slot/16-pole is proposed.The mathematical analytical model of consequent-pole PM machine is established by separating variable method,and the air gap flux density of consequent-pole PM machine is obtained by solving the model.The consequent-pole PM machines with18-slot/16-pole with planar magnetic poles was obtained by optimizing the shape,thickness and arc coefficient of the poles on the rotor,which realized the increase of the induction electromotive force and the decrease of the cogging torque of the motor.Taguchi orthogonal test method was used to optimize the rotor parameters of consequent-pole PM machine,and the processing parameters of the prototype were obtained.The working condition of conventional three-phase consequent-pole PM integrated starter/ generator for range extender is analyzed.It is pointed out that there are problems of high voltage of small load and low voltage of large load in power generation mode.A3/6-phase winding switching consequent-pole PM integrated starter/ generator for range extender is proposed,which realizes high torque starting at low speed and stable power generation at high speed.The winding switching mode is adopted to make the machine have three-phase winding structure with multi-turns when starting and six-phase winding structure with few turns when generating.The consequent-pole PM machines with 18-slot/16-pole prototype of the conventional three-phase and 3/6-phase winding switching was fabricated.The experimental platform has been built and tested,and the above research has been verified.A 48 V regulator for consequent-pole PM machine is designed and manufactured,and its voltage stabilization performance is verified by experiments.
