| Nonvolatile memory is a not missing part of IC world,and an important prerequisite of the rapid developmopent of digital IC.Electrically Erasable Programmable ROM(EEPROM)with high safety,strong durability,and data can be preserved for a long time after power down and other advantages to get wide range of applications in the field of SIM smart cards and RFID tags.As the energy supply module,the design of power management system has been the key point and difficulty of EEPROM technology.This article first introduced the development situation of EEPROM technology.and then systematically analyzed the working principles of EEPROM,and focus on the EEPROM digital timing and system architecture.The storage unit,data read,write mechanism and incentive conditions are analyzed and discussed.And suitable power management system solution is presented for application of EEPROM and SOC system.Secondly,the boosted circuits are researched and designed for the special needs of read and write operations of memory on high-voltage.Including new voltage self-regulating doubler circuit,high efficiency low ripple charge pump circuit,low-boost power charge pump circuit and low peak circuit charge pump circuit.Each boost circuit is detailed theoretical analyzed,and simulation results are given.Then,according to EEPROM design specifications and application characteristics of SOC system,the key circuit of power management system in EEPROM is researched.Including new current mode bandgap reference circuit,temperature detector circuit,clock generator and new high speed linear regulator.The basis of selection of circuit structure and detailed theoretical derivation process is given.Combining the needs of the system application,the specific working principle of the circuit is analyzed in detail,and the final circuit simulation results are given.Finally,power management system of EEPROM is analyzed for simulation integrally.The simulation results and testing results are given.And the basic method of analog circuit matching technology is simply introduced.This design use 0.18μm EEPROM technology and design rule of SMIC.After simulation and chip testing for verification,System designed to reach the EEPROM and SOC system application requirements has been proved. |
