Maritime freight corridors are the necessary basis for international trade exchanges and intercontinental cargo transport, and they are also key factors affecting national maritime strategy security and maritime rights and interests.Non-traditional security risks such as maritime terrorism, smuggling and maritime disasters occurring have become a concern in the field of maritime corridors security. At present, with the profound adjustment of international pattern and regional order, assessing the harm of different non-traditional security risks to maritime corridors and reasonably dividing risk areas have become an indispensable link in the maritime corridors security guarantee system. However, because the risk characteristics of different non-traditional security are different, such as regional, complex and variable, and the distribution regions of various non-traditional security risks overlap,it is difficult to assess risk from the same dimension. Therefore, this thesis attempts to carry out risk assessment according to the characteristics of non-traditional security risks, and explore the spatial division of nontraditional security risks of maritime corridors in the same dimension.Based on the research on the existing non-traditional security risk theory of maritime corridors and the spatial classification clustering algorithm, the research object is expanded from single risk to multiple risks such as pirate attacks, maritime terrorism, smuggling and Marine disasters. Then, considering the geographic information and risk characteristics, using the improved algorithm based on the data characteristics, the non-traditional safety risks of maritime corridors were analyzed from two aspects: cluster analysis and spatial division.(1)In the cluster analysis part, combining the influencing factors and event characteristics of various non-traditional security,a hybrid cluster index for non-traditional security risks is established. The cluster analysis and risk level assessment were carried out using the improved k-prototypes algorithm and supplemented by contour coefficient method. In the end, maritime attacks occurring in the west coast of Africa with the core of the Gulf of Guinea are classified as high-risk events, marine disasters occurring in the Strait of Malacca, coastal areas of East Asian countries and the west coast of Europe are classified as high-risk events, and maritime smuggling occurring in the west coast of Africa and ports along the Mediterranean coast are classified as high-risk events.(2)In the space division part, based on the cluster analysis results of non-traditional security risks, all kinds of non-traditional security risks are unified in the risk measurement of three dimensions: cluster area, risk type and risk level.Using k-prototypes improved algorithm plus centroid Voronoi diagram to realize the space division of non-traditional safety risks of maritime corridors. The exploration has enriched the theoretical research on non-traditional security risks of maritime corridors. The classification of non-traditional security high-risk areas, such as pirate attacks, smuggling and marine disasters, will help establish a maritime transport security system and provide decision-making support for the selection of shipping routes and the deployment of escort forces.
